Q: Are the dishes able to go from the fridge to the oven?

A: Hi Leah, No the containers should not be taken straight from refrigerator to oven. Just like any other glass product this would cause thermal shock. You should allow the glass container to sit out of the refrigerator until the container and contents comes to room temperature, before putting it into the oven.

When washing by hand use non-abrasive cleansers. If more vigorous cleaning is necessary, soak and clean with a non-scratch plastic or nylon scouring pad. Storing leftovers
Brilliance Glass 6 piece set from the brand Rubbermaid is highly recommended. This product is used for storing leftovers very durable. Safe to use in the microwave and oven to warm your food. You can easily store in the refrigerator and freezer. The lid snaps on and snaps off easily. Also the container is easy to clean, does not stain. Also you can wash in the dishwasher without having to worry about warping. I highly recommend.

I started out loving these then I got a 2nd set...
I bought a set of these a few years back and LOVED them, only had 2 that cracked badly enough to have to throw out after 3 years so I bought a second set... Within the first 3 months all four had cracks. Two of them actually broke while washing them (BY HAND...WITH A SPNGE). Quite disappointed.

Durable & Spacious
Use these to store my work lunch. They are cute and have a good size capacity to get all your food groups in. I will say though, its hard to get the lid to clip on all sides, I've found myself constantly struggling with that. They are super sturdy and durable, I've had this set for months.

No replacement for your lid
These are great brand new. The problem is your lid will crack. Mine lasted a year and then Rubbermaid for some reason does not sell replacement lids so you will no longer be able to use as designed. There are no third party lids as well. I will not buy these again until replacement lids are offered. This is a huge problem, just google it

Disappointing for a Rubbermaid product.
I appreciated the size of the rectangle brilliance glass dish, however the lid cracked in half after half a dozen uses. It seems Rubbermaid does not offer a replacement which is absurd considering the quality of the lid.

My favourite food containers, ever.
I bought eight of these boxes 2 months ago and they are amazing. They so far have not leaked and feel very secure. The shared lid size is the most important factor to me and took the hassle out of finding the right box and lid. They stack well in the fridge and are a great size for lunch. I really like that they are glass for the versatility and reducing plastic. I will absolutely be buying more of these and recommending them to everyone I know

Lids break easily
The lids break, either by snapping in the middle or the locking side pieces snap off. Unlike Pyrex Snapware, they will not sell replacement lids. I thought I was investing in a system I could grow over time, now I’m starting over with Pyrex. It is unfortunate they don’t offer lids because the size is perfect and the stacking is great. Rubbermaid please review your sustainability practices.

If you don't have a cracked lid, you will.
I went looking for a replacement lid online but there aren't any. My lid has cracked with little use. Why don't you have replacement lids? They are also really hard to remove sometimes. I enjoyed the product when it had a functional lid and I didn't have to pry it off. I will stick with another brand that I can order replacement lids.

Tough to unseal thr lids are upwards compared to downwards.
The lid wings if they aren’t attached it is still harder to pop the lid off. Suction cup air totally sealed. Don’t drop it either you might lose the food.

premature lid failure
This product is well made in general. sometime certain lid does not fit (too large) over the container, most importantly the lids fail prematurely (the plastic seal lever breaks or lid cracking), making the entire unit not useable as it was intended.

If only there were replacement lids!
About a year ago, we replaced our entire Tupperware set with these Rubbermaid Brilliance storage containers. For the first six months we were thrilled with them— singing their praises to everyone who would listen. They stack very well, the lids are interchangeable with different sizes of containers, there are glass and plastic options, there are many great sizes. We use them all the time. About six months after we bought them, though, we started noticing cracks in the lids. And not just one of the lids— it started happening to essentially all of them. No big deal, we thought, we’ll just buy some replacement lids. Easy, right? Well, it turns out they don’t make replacement lids, which is hard to fathom. If they did this would be a five star review. I’m just posting in the hopes that enough people comment that Rubbermaid will start making replacements available because otherwise these containers are great. A cheer s it is, we’re looking to replace the whole lot again with a different brand. And we’re warning everyone who will listen, too.

Lids SMELL HORRIBLE!!!
I purchased the glass containers as a way to be more sustainable. However, the lids are plastic and retain a GROSS smell despite numerous attempts to clean with vinegar/ baking soda & lemon juice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product until the company finds a solution for the lids GROSS smell!!! FYI…the smell is of rancid tuna -I’m a vegan & don’t eat seafood nor have seafood products in my home. The rubber breaks down

Not oven safe dont do it
Not oven safe.. put it in the oven at 375 the entire thing exploded omg it’s awful now I gotta clean this up on Mothers Day . Do not I repeat do not put this in the oven it if you do put it in a baking tray since it will eventually explode

Do not buy!
I bought this product last month ago for a project. I just pulled it out to use it for the first time and one corner of the gasket on the lid looks like it has been worn down and has a hole in it. I've not even had the opportunity to use it. This wearing and hole are getting worse with each time the lid is closed and tiny bits of rubber are rubbing off into the food. This is disappointing after reading and trusting so many good reviews.
