A: Thank you for your interest in the Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Food Storage Set. The glass base is safe for use in ovens up to 450°F. Remove the plastic lid before oven use. Always handle hot glassware with dry potholders. Preheat oven prior to inserting glassware. When cooking food items that may release fats or liquids, add a small amount of liquid to the bottom of the glassware before inserting it into the oven. Allow the glass to cool so that it is comfortable to touch before cleaning or installing the lid. Have a great day!

A: Hi Mike W, No you can not go straight from freezer or fridge to oven That will cause thermal shock to happen. You should let glass come to room temperature and make sure food is completely thawed before inserting in oven.

Disappointed in the material of product
I have purchased several of these containers and have thrown several of them away due to cracks in the material. I emailed Rubbermaid which said they are not to be used for hot liquids but they are microwavable use. I was using these products as meal preps to take for lunches because the liquids stays inside the product with no spillage. After several times of use the bottom of the product ends up cracking. I like the design, how the food stays sealed, how transparent and the capacity of the product but I don't like how the product becomes defective.

Brilliance Glass 6 piece set from the brand Rubbermaid is highly recommended. This product is used for storing leftovers very durable. Safe to use in the microwave and oven to warm your food. You can easily store in the refrigerator and freezer. The lid snaps on and snaps off easily. Also the container is easy to clean, does not stain. Also you can wash in the dishwasher without having to worry about warping. I highly recommend.

This storage set is amazing for a little while, and then around the 6 month mark, the lids all start falling apart one by one... if you are considering buying this set or any of the other storage containers in this range from Rubbermaid, DON'T! The glass portion of the containers is great, no issues there. The lids however do NOT hold up with regular use. The rubber seals stretch and/or crack and lead to leaks, the plastic portion will crack and break. I have had this set for 10 months and am not particularly rough with my containers (have owned a pyrex set for 8 years that has had zero issues), but the lids are so fragile that this is not practical for regular use. If you try and contact rubbermaid to replace or even to purchase replacement lids, you cannot. They require you to submit a claim for EACH INDIVIDUAL lid and you have to submit 5 photos for each + lengthy descriptions. After going through this process for one for of my lids (40 minutes of following lengthy instructions) I gave up and have resigned myself that this set cannot be salvaged. Fun fact: Rubbermaid has out-sourced customer service for the lids, so you cannot hold them accountable for poor quality and even worse customer service.

I started out loving these then I got a 2nd set...
I bought a set of these a few years back and LOVED them, only had 2 that cracked badly enough to have to throw out after 3 years so I bought a second set... Within the first 3 months all four had cracks. Two of them actually broke while washing them (BY HAND...WITH A SPNGE). Quite disappointed.

Durable & Spacious
Use these to store my work lunch. They are cute and have a good size capacity to get all your food groups in. I will say though, its hard to get the lid to clip on all sides, I've found myself constantly struggling with that. They are super sturdy and durable, I've had this set for months.

No replacement for your lid
These are great brand new. The problem is your lid will crack. Mine lasted a year and then Rubbermaid for some reason does not sell replacement lids so you will no longer be able to use as designed. There are no third party lids as well. I will not buy these again until replacement lids are offered. This is a huge problem, just google it

Disappointing for a Rubbermaid product.
I appreciated the size of the rectangle brilliance glass dish, however the lid cracked in half after half a dozen uses. It seems Rubbermaid does not offer a replacement which is absurd considering the quality of the lid.

Great until it ain't.
The glass container is fantastic but the lids are horrible and inconsistent. I had one break the corner off the second time I went use it. Others had the seal leak, one had the seal crack early on. I have not been able to find replacement lids. This makes the container useless pretty quick.

My favourite food containers, ever.
I bought eight of these boxes 2 months ago and they are amazing. They so far have not leaked and feel very secure. The shared lid size is the most important factor to me and took the hassle out of finding the right box and lid. They stack well in the fridge and are a great size for lunch. I really like that they are glass for the versatility and reducing plastic. I will absolutely be buying more of these and recommending them to everyone I know

I went looking for a replacement lid online but there aren't any. My lid has cracked with little use. Why don't you have replacement lids? They are also really hard to remove sometimes. I enjoyed the product when it had a functional lid and I didn't have to pry it off. I will stick with another brand that I can order replacement lids.
