As close to homemade as you can get!
As an Italian, it’s almost a sacrilege to buy jarred sauce (gravy, as Italians call it). However, this arrabbiata sauce from Rao’s is just too good to spend the time making it yourself. The sauce has a typical marinara flavor, but with a little heat added. The balance of saltiness to sweetness is spot on perfect in my opinion. I use this sauce on everything from pasta dishes, to homemade pizza. It works great in lasagna, chicken parm, or any Italian dish you want a little kick added to. The spiciness isn’t too much and adds a great elevation to any meal. It’s definitely a little higher priced compared to other jarred sauces, but its quality and taste surpass all those other brands. Give it a shot, you won’t regret trying it…you’ll regret not trying it sooner.

Single best pasta sauce and brand
I'm a second generation Italian-American who grew up on a LOT of pasta and sauce -- all homemade, every time. I have had jarred pasta sauce at friend's houses both growing up and as an adult and they were always subpar. Enter Rao's. I had Rao's by accident and it was so good. I actually thought it WAS homemade. For the convenience of being able to whip up a quick dinner, I now have a fully stocked shelf of Rao's. Their arrabbiata is my go-to favorite. Bold, flavorful, and just a kick of spice to warm the mouth. It's a family favorite. If you want to up the spice to insanity level, I add fresh sauteed garlic, crushed red pepper, cayenne pepper, and onion powder -- it's to die for, but definitely for the heat enthusiast.

Love Raos Arrabbiata
I have tried and liked several of the Rao's brand spaghetti sauces. My favorite way to prepare sauce is by mixing a bottle of Rao's marinara with a bottle Rao's Arrabbiata...yum! I usually add italian sausage and mushrooms too, which adds a bit of heartyness to the sauce, otherwise, just using it plain is good too. Its got just the right amount of heat to it.
