Q: How do you get the turtle to stop swimming and beeping? We’ve taken it out of the water and dried it, but it will not turn off.

A: To stop it, simply ensure that the turtle is fully dry and that no water remains inside. If it's still not turning off, try removing the batteries for a moment and reinserting them to reset it.

A: Mama Turtle comes with a resettable mechanism—once the turtles stop swimming, simply remove them from the water, dry them off, and then place them back in the water to reactivate the swimming motion.

The reviews are true I think the mom swam less than 60 seconds, this toy did bring joy To my kids but a max of 5 min is not worth the $20 in my opinion, but they did enjoy it so if you have $20 to throw away and it will bring a smile to your kid go for it but otherwise I’d steer clear

Disappointing. Like everyone else has said, this was cute for twenty minutes. the eggs hatched and the turtle swam. Then the mom broke and never worked again. Waste of money, poorly made.

Don't waste your money. Reviews are right, this is junk.
I wish I had read the reviews before buying. It really doesn't work beyond 30 minutes after opening. I bought new batteries thinking that was the problem. It wasn't. The turtle toy rested for an entire day, was dried, got new batteries and to this day it doesn't work. Still playable but blah for the price paid.

Read the instructions!
It’s a nice toy, we were happy to receive as a gift. Don’t expect it to do much, just what it says on the box. There’s so many negative reviews about the mom turtle not swimming anymore but if you read the instructions, it says to take it out and dry it so you recharge it ,then put it back in the water. It would be kind of cool if they gave you extra water soluble stickers to re-hatch the eggs.

Not Worth It
This toy doesn’t do very much. Our turtle quit swimming before the eggs even hatched, and then these tiny turtles come out that don’t do anything but float. Once the eggs quickly hatch the toy is garbage.

Horrible
Do not recommend. Brought it home the eggs barely hatched and the mom turtle stopped swimming in a matter of minutes an it hasnt worked since.

Terrible toy!
So much excitement and disappointment in a matter of minutes. My daughter got this for her birthday, which was at the top of her list, only to put it in the water watch it, swim and hatch, and then have the mama turtle basically die in the tank. If your toy is meant to be in water make sure it’s waterproof before marketing it! How do you even return this now?

Not great
Has potential but not worth it. My 4 year old loves this stupid thing but it broke after an hour. The mom turtle isn’t waterproof which is a huge design flaw considering it’s a water tank. My kid didn’t notice and is happy to pretend play but as a consumer this dropped the ball.

Worked for ONE day
Toy only worked for one day - my daughter was complaining that the turtle wouldn’t swim after the first day, so I figured I would check the batteries, but when I opened the cover there was water inside of the toy covering the batteries. This toy is intended for water!
