I've purchased the original cloud cream numerous times! I love how hydrating that one is and how it sinks into my skin. It plays well with my makeup and doesn't cause breakouts. Just recently I purchased a set that has the OG cream and this RICH barrier cream. Wow, my new HG 💯 I put it on at night after actives and I can totally see & feel the difference in the morning. I'm 39, living in hot & arid AZ with an extremely oily T zone and insanely dry outer perimeter of my face. Not gonna lie, it leaves your face greasy but with visible results in the morning!!!! I've tried numerous thick moisturizers and nothing works like this one! Hydrated and doesn't break me out either. I use the OG cream in the morning & rich cream at night ❤️ Please don't ever stop making these creams!

I never used to use a hydrator expecting that my moisturizer would do the job but after 40, my skin kept getting drier and no matter how much expensive moisturizer I used, it never felt hydrated. Enter using a hydrator recommend by a dermatologist. I use a serum, hydrator and then my moisturizer. Game changer. I started with the Clinique one but this is superior in my opinion. Try it. Your thirsty skin will thank you!

I've been using the OG water drench facial moisturizer for 5+ years. I have very sensitive combo skin, and while the original formula is great for spring, summer and fall, i get more dry in the winter and need to supplement with a heavier moisturizer or even a lighter oil applied every other day. I thought this would be perfect - the heavier counterpart of my HG! It even has squalene, which is one of the oils i've had success with! This moisturizer has a much heavier feel, which i somewhat expected, but it doesn't absorb into my skin well. A little goes a long way. I haven't tried using this during the day, and don't think that would work well. Using at night, the following morning my skin still feels like there is something "on" it, preventing air from getting to my skin. This should be fine, especially in my ancient, dry house. Unfortunately, after two weeks of use, my pores are clogging and exacerbating my usually mild hormonal acne - turning red spots into fully-developed whiteheads. If i hadn't purchased this in a set i would likely have returned it, but i'll keep it for intermittent use if i get a particularly dry patch, it should be good for that. The ingredients are not irritating, so i will still call this safe for sensitive skin. If you have very dry skin that likes oil, this may work for you. However this product is more emollient than moisturizing, so imo skip if you have oily, seasonal combo, or acne-prone skin.

I love the original cloud drench moisturizer, so I thought I would love this one as well. But, this one feels like it just sits on your skin and doesn't absorb. Maybe I am the wrong skintype oily/combo.

Face is so soft after applying, I'll apply my makeup & everyone tells me I'm glowing cause the moisturizer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is pretty special. Can't decide which one I love more, the Hyaluronic Cloud Moisturizer or this barrier defense. This one is thicker and more emollient, and I can feel it absorb into my skin and work it's wonders immediately after application.

This is one of the only moisturizers I've used on my face that I can absolutely feel and see a difference near immediately. It's not heavy or oily. Just perfect for my skin. With a few days I had people saying my skin looked (and felt) so good. Highly recommend.

I got a sample for my birthday and it's amazing. It makes my skin hydrated faster. My makeup looks better when i use this product

I got a sample of this product with a previous order and loved it so I ordered the full size. Not sure why the full-size is acting different than the sample but here we are - it makes my eyes & neck swell and itch. I thought maybe it was something else that was causing this so I stopped using all products other than a very gentle cream, and when I introduced this product back, the second day I was swollen and itchy again. I found the culprit - sad it's this since I really do love the way it makes my skin feel otherwise

This product protects my skin's sensitive moisture barrier while powerful actives (AHA, BHA) work on my acne. It has taken me my entire 20s to find the proper product. It's also not too greasy and never breaks me out by trapping bacteria into the skin. Its the most reliable product I have ever bought and I never write reviews but felt this deserves one. A little bit goes a long way. The only con is that its a little "too" moisturizing and is always the final step if my routine because ntohing can go on top of it.

Got this as sample. Suoer greasy, stayed ontop of my skin. Broke me out.

I'm not super picky when it comes to moisturizers but this one was really not good. It left a silicon film on my skin that never sank in. I also think it was irritating my skin due to the layer on top. I don't know who this would work for. Not enough moisture for dry skin and a greasy film that wouldn't go with oily skin.

This product really works hard all day supplying moisture to my dry skin. I recommend it if you’re looking for something that goes the distance on more mature skin. Definitely you will not regret your purchase.

"I really love this product for what it offers. Some reviews mention that it doesn't fully absorb into the skin and just sits on the surface, but I'm not sure it's meant to absorb completely. What matters to me is the dewy glow it gives, which I absolutely love. One tip: make sure to keep your hair pulled back when applying, as the residue can leave your hair feeling oily. Overall, I'm a big fan of this product. I started with the travel size, and now I've splurged on the full size. I'll definitely repurchase!

I would have give it a 5 if it were based on how well this product hydrates your face. However, after applying the product to your face it gives off this oily texture and just throws the product all the way off. You would need to sctually wash your hands to get that oily feel from ur hands. Nonetheless, ok moisturizer.
