Accompanying the story are small pieces of information that are woven into the text every few pages identifying terms and facts. At the end, a glossary of terms and accompanying illustrations provide readers with a more detailed understanding of the water cycle. The water cycle is an important topic in early understanding of science, specifically physical geography. One Drop provides the youngest of students the opportunity to grasp simple terms and facts while enjoying the journey of the main character in the story, the "One Drop". About the Author

Kaitlin Sikes lives in Northeast Florida, near the Saint Johns River. This unusual river that flows north made her wonder...with no nearby mountains, where did it come from? And where was it going?
