Q: My unit won’t turn on after two uses. Charged all day and still wouldn’t turn on. Very upsetting
A: Hi Brittany, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the device. The Flasher must be plugged in at all times during use, as it does not contain a battery or charge on its own. To power it on, please make sure it’s plugged in and press and hold the button on the side for about 3–5 seconds.

Q: Can this be worked on facial hair
A: Hi Dawn! Yes, it can be used on facial hair, as long as it’s on safe areas like the upper lip, chin, and jawline. Just be sure to avoid the eyes and brows, and always start with a lower level and do a quick patch test first since facial skin can be more sensitive.

Q: Can you use it while pregnant?
A: Hi Mo! For safety reasons, we don’t recommend using the Flasher or any IPL hair removal devices while pregnant. It’s best to wait until after pregnancy to use the device.

Q: Hi. Wondering why it's not recommended for people with very deep or dark skin tones even though their hair has dark pigment?
A: Great question! We totally understand the confusion. IPL works by targeting the contrast between the hair root and the surrounding skin. When the skin is very deep or dark, it contains a high amount of melanin, which absorbs the light just like the hair does. This can make the treatment less effective and increase the risk of skin irritation or discoloration. It’s purely a safety concern, not about the hair itself. We always want to make sure the treatment is both effective and gentle for every skin tone.

Q: Does the NOOD hair removal IPL work on white or gray hair?
A: Hi! IPL technology relies on detecting melanin in the hair follicle, so it tends to be most effective on darker hair. For lighter shades like white, gray, or blonde, results can be limited — or take much longer to appear — because there’s less pigment for the light to target. It also works best when there’s strong contrast between your hair and skin tone. If your hair and skin colors are similar, the treatment may require more time and consistency to see meaningful progress.

Q: Is this effective with platium blonde and red hair?
A: Hi, RoseFaire! IPL generally works best on dark hair, that’s because it targets pigment in the hair follicle. Platinum blonde or red hair often has too little pigment for the light to effectively target, so the results tend to be limited or ineffective.

Q: I was wondering are the treatments painful?
A: Hi! Unlike laser hair removal, IPL or intense pulsed light hair removal is generally considered to be much safer and less painful. This is because IPL uses a multi-spectrum bulb vs a single-wavelength laser. You may feel a slight tingle in sensitive areas during treatment, but it should not be painful. If there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Q: Does this sometimes leave skin looking darker, such as underarms or bikini area?
A: Hi! The Flasher 2.0 won’t darken the skin. In fact, with consistent use many people actually notice their skin looking smoother and more even over time, especially in areas like the underarms and bikini line. 😊

Q: Does it come with the serum?
A: Hi Amalia! The serum is sold separately and doesn’t come included with the device. You can absolutely pair them together for best results though!

Q: Can this be used to reduce the appearance of age spots?
A: Hi! The Flasher 2.0 is designed for hair reduction and won’t target age spots or pigmentation. But if you're looking to address concerns like age spots, our Flasher Pro might be a better fit! It includes an interchangeable Ageless Lens that’s specifically designed to help with discoloration, uneven tone, and other signs of aging. 💛
