  • A: You can certainly use this to make sourdough bread. The internal dimensions within the bake tray are 12 x 12 x 6.4 inches. As long as the Dutch oven is smaller than those dimensions it can fit.

    Great when it works

    This will be the third one that I have used. The first one the seal around the door was not done correctly so all the smoke came out around all parts of the door. The second one the buttons on the front stopped working. Both times ninja has gone above and beyond with replacing and getting them back to me but moving forward I will only use this for pizza, bread, and baking to try to prevent any problem with the buttons on the front.

    No longer works

    Oven only worked for three years, now when I try to start it nothing happens, once in a great while it will start. This has been going on for over a year. Very frustrating and very disappointed with the oven.

    Worth Every Penny - Incredible addition

    I received my Ninja 8-1 wood fired outdoor oven as a Mother’s Day gift and have been loving it ever since. Everyone who I have had over for supper is super impressed and says the pizzas are a fabulous as their favorite restaurant and even better. In fact several people have gone home asked for the link and ordered one for themselves, including friends we had over last night. I love that I can smoke ribs in it as well. Next is a brisket. This is a definite must have. Even if I only ordered it for pizzas it’s worth every penny

    Quit working at 8 months

    Worked well for about 8 months and then no longer powers up at all. No display, nothing. No, it is not the GFCI switch on the cord. Manually tripped and reset several times.

    Great oven! The pizza comes out with a perfect crispy crust and bakes evenly. It’s very easy to use, but the oven is quite heavy — I recommend being careful when moving it.

    Worked twice

    Didn’t last long

    I loved this oven initially and it was great that it came with so many accessories. (A cover, pans, racks, pizza stone.) Unfortunately it only worked for just over a year. I probably only used it about 10 times, then it stopped working.

    Woodfire Pizza Oven

    So far we have used the smoker function twice and the pizza function. They both delivered perfect results and were excited to keep trying out new recipes. It is built well and seems like it will hold up for a long time.

    Hard to

    Have a hard time getting the smoker going. Absolutely have to beat the box closed after filling it up with pellets.
