Pretty Good for Digital NVGs
So I got this about 3 months ago and it's been pretty awesome to use! But to clarify, this is not TRUE night vision, like what the military uses. This is a secondary form where it uses essentially a giant infra-red flashlight to illuminate the area. This illumination can make it hard to see, especially with things up close, but it's awesome at distances or night hikes! The Pros: Way cheaper then actual Night Vison Still very much useable and a fun thing to be able to mess with Tough and durable - I've dropped it a few times and it's completely fine, no marks or anything Decent range Good headband/goggles mount Lightweight Easy to start using The Cons Can't see anything up close due to both over-exposure and lack of FOV Somewhat difficult to navigate and confusing menus Low refresh rate means you can't use it too well when moving at speed No way to turn off the infra-red flashlight Low resolution All in all if you already know you aren't getting real night vision, and just a fun cheaper one, then you've got nothing to loose!
