Nespresso Limited-Edition Vertuo Pop+ Coffee and Espresso Maker by Breville Matte Black Gold

I didn’t realize there were different versions of Nespresso: Vertuo and OriginalLine. If you are buying this machine for coffee, it is good. If you are buying for espresso, it is not as good as OriginalLine (smaller pods brewed with high pressure).

I like that the water reservoir is big enough for brewing multiple capsules before needing to refil. The blue color adds a nice "pop" of joy. It is a little loud but that isn't a big deal for me. I highly recommend this system if you are looking for the ability to enjoy Nespresso in a smaller space.

easy setup. I loved the sample pods that came with so I knew what kinds I liked and disliked. I also liked that it small and doesn't take up much space.

My husband and I LOVE a good cortado, but truly want it every day, which is just too expensive to even think about ordering out. These machines are so easy, and SO consistently perfect. 10/10 recommend, I already got my sister to buy one too!

It’s compact and comes in a variety of colors, which is perfect considering she only wants white appliances. The Vertuo models are the go to machine is all 5 of our families houses. My favorite part of the morning is taking my first cup and savoring the richness.; it just starts the day of right! Easy ordering, easy ritual, pure bliss!

The Vertuo Pop Plus is not a well-designed product. 1) The coffee does not brew hot. It's merely warm. Nespresso says this preserves flavor but since when in the history of coffee is brewing hot a disadvantage? 2) I'm a first time Nespresso buyer and the explanation of the pod types and sizes is quite unclear e.g. online says there is a 12 oz option, but that is only if you're making iced coffee, and good luck fitting a 12 oz cup under the spout; regular coffee max is a mere 8 ounces, and an inch of foam. And, there's so much foam, you cannot see the color change in the coffee when adding milk or cream so it's hard to know if you've added the right amount. 3) The lid and lock are rather stiff when brewing a cup; I assumed, having used other Nespresso models at friends' homes, that there would only be a light touch needed but this product is completely different. Don't expect the experience of the upper models. 4) Finally, the flavor and strength of the coffee is superior to anything I had with my Keurig, but I miss the ease and heat of the Keurig.

I’ve had this machine for 14 months now and it only works correctly about 60% of the time. When it’s not working you get the dreaded blinking red light and have to unplug and replug multiple times before it starts. Granted this happens almost every time you’re late for work! It’s a shame because the coffee is the best, however the machine is not. Check the internet and reviews because this is a common problem with this particular machine.
