Good Product. Alas, Legacy Equipment
The pin plugs are sturdy and well made and they accepted 12 gauge wire without a problem. Unfortunately, the speaker outs on my Kenwood KR-7400 (from the 1970s) are too small to properly accept the pins. The plugs can be used but they are rather loose. Fortunately, the improper fit doesn't seem to have compromised the sound. Rob

Something they don't tell you.
1. No instruction on how to connect the wire to the connector. 2. You ned to put tape or shrink wrap on the outside in order to avoid shorts..

Perfect for many different types of receivers and outlets
Be sure to seat the wires somewhat evenly, and these are fantastic speaker plugs! You can clip them to an appropriate length.

spend a little bit more.
These were not only a pain in the you know what to add to the cables, but after a very short amount of time the coating started to peel and change color. this is unacceptable in audio.. Keep it moving and buy a better quality pin and or banana plug.. don't waste your time or money on this brand.

Not a good connection
Did not work as intended. The spring connections on the speakers and receiver do not hold these securely enough to prevent them from bumping together. They flop around, presenting the possibility of a short. They would be OK for use with binding post connections, but a good choice for spring clips.

Too Big
These are great for tower type speakers, not for bookshelf or surround sound speakers on shelves that have the terminals on back bottom of speaker. The ends are too long for use with most receivers as the post are so long the metal will touch negative and positive. Great design, but too long.

Beware! Plug Bodies Conduct
Before you buy these, make sure that the large portion of the plug bodies won?t be touching each other when installed in your gear?s jacks. Everything here that looks like metal is metal and will conduct. These turned out to be unusable for me.

A quality product with easy installation
Installation couldn?t be easier. There is a video showing you how to and the plugs themselves are well made and easy to work with. I installed four plugs on speaker wire and it took under 15 minutes. They snugly fit into the amp and speaker lugs. I recommend this product and would buy it again.

Neat and Easy
This is the way to go if you're still connecting your speakers with bare wire.. Attaching these pin connectors to my cable was a breeze. Well worth the time and money.

Be careful when odering
They CANNOT touch but they will slide around quite easily in regular spring clamps. Moving the AV receiver to clean means having to check for movement of plugs. My Monoprice premium speakers have a different type of cylinder spring clamp. They will NOT allow these plugs to separate. They touch. I had to use pieces of Velcro to separate + from -. Be aware these will not fit into the back of binding posts on a Sony DH-STR790. They are loose. You need banana plugs. The CSR I spoke to refused to send me a 2 sets of banana plugs free of charge. I also noticed the prices on HDMI cables have nearly doubled. The lowest shipping has doubled.

Redesign needed
These pin plugs would be really nice if outside walls were insulated?however they are not and if you have a confined area where these pins connect the positive and negative will touch? not good unless you insulate them like I did with shrink tubing.

audio adapters sx980
they don't work to connect to vintage sx980 pioneer receiver because the outer part you tighten to hold wire isn't insulated from the inner part-so too much chance of hitting each other on back of spring loaded amp connections-which are floppy at best, with catastrophic results from a potentially dead short

Great, maybe, not ideal for spring clips
Works great, easy to thread. Not ideal though I found out later for use in spring clips, because the outside is not insulated so it'll be hard to fit 4 next to each other without a short. A little electric tape did the trick though.

Insecure connection
Actually doesn’t work that well. The pins connecting to the speaker input is not secure and can move around. It is possible that the wobbly units can in advertently touch, shorting out the speaker. Wrapping on of the units in electrical tape can avoid shorts if they touch.

Worse than Worthless
I bought these since I was tired of pushing in the speaker wires and risking a short due to a stray wire. However after receiving them I realized the entire body is conductive! This pretty much guarantees a short! I assumed I must be doing something wrong so I tried to clip them shorter so they sit flush, and they still wobble around and short. And this is across 2 different brands of sub-woofer and 2 different brands of amp, so it's hard to blame my speaker connectors as just being too close. Why are the bodies not insulated like the ones on Amazon!?!?!

No install directions and critical flaw
Threw them away, as I should not have to wrap my plugs in plastic to protect my equipment from shorting out. They also fail to provide directions on how to use them.

Well made
Ended up not using, but that's because my speakers didn't bite well enough on pin. Shipping took say too long though, Wouldn't buy again because of that

Makes connecting speakers so much easier!
I purchased these to go with my new Monoprice 5.1 surround sound system (#10565), and they work great and fit nicely in the spring connectors.

Good PIN Plug
the plugs are well made and easy to use. unfortunately, like others have mentioned, because these are all metal plugs, if the speaker inputs are close the PIN plugs may touch causing at best your AVR protection circuitry to kick in or at worse blow your speakers. I would give 4 stars to how well the product is made but only 2-3 stars for function. it is a fantastic solution as long as your inputs are not too close together.
