[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the L’Oréal Medium Brown permanent hair color, and overall I had mixed results. For context, I am nearly 100% gray, so coverage is very important to me. Application was easy and straightforward. One thing I really liked was the consistency of the color. The liquid was noticeably thicker than other brands I’ve used, which made it much easier to apply and control. It didn’t drip or run nearly as much, which I appreciated. I also liked that the kit included a shampoo for after coloring, and the conditioner was generous enough to last for several uses in the days that followed. That was a nice touch and felt more premium than some other box dyes. Because my grays are very stubborn, I did leave the color on longer than the instructions recommended. While the color did a decent job covering most of my gray, I noticed that many of the finer gray hairs around my hairline did not take the color well. I’ve included before and after photos to show this clearly. Ultimately, while this formula had some nice features, it didn’t deliver the level of gray coverage I need. I’ve been using another brand for years that performs better on my hair, and unfortunately this one just doesn’t stack up for me.

It was super easy to apply, I prefer a brush it on rather than using the bottle but it still applies the same. The shampoo did really well getting the color out which made rinsing super easy.

100 percent gray covered
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pictures show my hair lighter in the before photo. However, the dye did a great job covering my gray hair. It also made my hair feel softer. I had used a leave in conditioner in my hair and thats why it looked dry. But it really wasn't. I anticipate not having to dye my hair for 6 to 8 weeks. I left it in for 25 minutes and then washed it out with the shampoo and conditioner that came in the box.

I've been using 8RB for many years and have loved it. Then I started having gray hair appear. I'm on my 3rd box with the same result....this product does not touch my gray hair. At all. How can they guarantee 100% gray coverage when that is obviously a lie? I'm looking for a new brand now.

Pretty good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was boxed like every other color I've seen. Application was just like every other ones I've seen. Development was like box said 30 minutes. I like that it didn't stain my face. It rinsed out pretty easy. I love the fact that box came with shampoo and conditioner. Conditioner made my hair super soft. It covered most of my greys but I have a bunch of baby greys that it didn't. Very short and it could have been user error too. Good experience overall.
