Kichler Lighting Sola 1 - Light Ceiling Fan in Brushed Nickel

I bought four of these Sola fans, and while they look great and move the air, the LED arrays in two of the fans are failing. Replacements cannot be found since they are integrated into the housing. You must therefore replace the entire fan if beyond the 5-year warranty.

I haven't even had this a year and the light started flickering. An election tried a new receiver and still Flickering. Very disappointing.

I bought this fan 2 years ago. It worked really well in my small kitchen until the light started flickering. An electrician said that it cannot be fixed. I need to buy a new fan after only 2 years. I thought LED lights were supposed to last a long time.

Shipping was quick and packaged securely. The fan is of good quality and remote is easy to use. Perfect size for a small kitchen so there is plenty of room between fan blades and opened cupboard doors. Struggled a bit to install as there was no room for tolerance (as my family member explained as he was installing it for me) but once together it performs solid and is quiet. Pretty impressive little fan. Would recommend this purchase.

Love it! Just the right size fan and light for my kitchen nook area. Light dimmer on remote is a little difficult to adjust.

Overall we are happy with the look and performance of the fan so far, but it has only been a week so time will tell. For an AC fan it is fairly quiet with only a mild hum sound when operating. Not really noticeable unless you compare it to a DC fan. We bought one of those as well for a different room and there is no sound at all. Two things about the install to flag... the first is that the instructions are terrible. I installed two of these fans and during the first install I was cursing the CEO of Kichler and wanting them to go on video to see how well they do with an install using just those instructions. Kichler needs to buy a Weber BBQ and see how much better instructions can be if you just put a little time and thought into it. BBQs are much more involved and yet Weber did an amazing job and even has videos of each step. Seriously, you need an overhaul of the instructions ASAP because this instructions downgrade the feel of what should be a premium product. The second challenge with install was that one of the batteries was dead. We wasted a fair bit of time thinking we had done the install wrong, and then finally swapped the batteries and figured out that was the issue. Kichler, you owe me a new battery and an hour of my life back.

I ordered this fan from 1Stop after seeing Amazon was getting it through them. I wanted to give the smaller company the direct sale. I got the same price, free shipping, and delivery was very quick too. The fan itself is working out well so far.

Any fan that wasn’t too large for the space seemed to not be able to actually cool the room. This fan is perfect! It is small enough to fit in the room while looking nicely proportioned, and the fan arms are wide enough to move air and actually cool the room. I’m very pleased! The light illuminates the room nicely too!

We placed it in our back hallway, as it has been getting pretty warm back there in the summer. (Kids leaving the door open!) This fan definitely cools off the area as it should! We mounted the remote nearby so it could not get misplaced. Recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great update to my old traditional looking fan, we remodeled our home before moving in about 13 years ago but decided to leave the ceiling fans since they still worked fine. They still do but I was looking for a more modern updated looking one for our room and this one is perfect, even exceeded my expectation! I like the different light so you don't see the bulbs and the light coming off is much more pleasant, not as in your face. The wall panel is so nice to have, beats reaching up into the fan and turning things off, I hit my hand a time or two and it doesn't feel that good!

This fan is perfect for our 12x12 screened deck. I wasn’t aware that the controls are a remote that gets installed where a light switch goes. Our switch for that fixture is inside, but it works just fine.

We bought two of these for the summer months. They are strong, quiet and work perfectly for what we need. Our ceilings are A-frame and we needed the smaller blades to fit against the ceiling. We are super happy with them.

Put this fan in the garage to replace fluorescent lights. It provides ample light. Its small size really does give good air flow. Despite it's small size it was the most complicated light I've replaced and I have replaced every light in my house. The controller instead of like other fans having a small bracket for the remote; they want you to replace the whole light switch which was not an option due to two fans being ran off the one switch. I attached a picture of the remote. It makes use really awkward if I had realized this was the style of remote it used I would've picked a different fan.

Works just fine and perfect for a narrow porch. BUT be sure to re-set the four toggles in the wall switch that activate the "remote" (which is actually the wall switch)... otherwise someone's TV remote, garage door closer, or other wireless device could be operating on the same frequency and your light and/or fan will turn on like magic at the strangest times... and without you doing anything.

Nice looking ceiling fan. Bought for small size but good power. Only problem is it only had a remote and when it is hot will turn on and off and turn light also on and off at will. Works good for a few days then we have this problem.

We purchased another one for the other side of our kitchen that is larger and they are quiet and very efficient, so much air! the lights are very bright and worked so nicely in our space!. It was important to us to have matching fan/lights and it is hard to find ceiling fans that come in more than one size. We're very happy with our purchase!
