Kichler Lighting Sola 1 - Light Ceiling Fan in Brushed Nickel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sola LED fan was just what we were looking for when we decided to get a new fan for our bedroom. The flush mount is a teue flush mount with no gap. It is a very quiet fan that pushes good air. It only has 3 fan blades but it still works juat as well as a 5 fan blade,especially in our bedroom. I like that its an LED light so i do not have to worry about replacing bulbs. I like that it does not use a switch but comes with a wall remote control function. You can choose fan speed and turn the light on and off with a push of the button. The fan has 3 speeds and the light is bright. This was easy for my husband to install and I would definitely recommend. This is my second kichler fan and the quality is amazing. I live in Michigan

It instantly gave my room an improved look. It only has 3 fan blades but pushes just as much air as a fan with 5 blades. It was easy to install and use. It comes with a control panel for the wall that is like a remote. You can easily chose your speed and turn the light on. The led lights are bright and I like knowing that I won't have to change any bulbs. I can tell that the fan is built from quality materials and will last. This fan was a great addition!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary Sola LED 54" Fan in Brushed Nickle in exchange for my honest review. This ceiling fan is absolutely perfect for my home. The installation instructions were easy to follow and this fan was up in a very short time. The low profile made it fit perfectly in the space I wanted, and it gives and understated elegance to the room. The 3 blade design is modern, chic and will add a touch of class to any decor. The remote is made to go into an existing switch socket but it is not hard wired there. It was simply a matter of connecting 2 wires and it was done. The 3 speeds give you the option to cool your room however you choose. The motor is very quiet, so you never notice that it's on. This fan is a great choice for any room in your home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thought..hmm, are 3 blades powerful enough? Yes! The airflow this puts out is amazing ! It's powerful yet extremely quiet . It was definitely a two person job to install due to it being so heavy, but I love the wireless controller. No more standing on my tippy toes reaching cords and guessing which I'm pulling. The wall mount is fabulous. The brushed nickel is flawless and modern. I've updated my bedroom so much with this ceiling fan! Gorgeous! I highly recommend Kichler products.. outstanding quality and design!!

I also love the versatility this fan provides and I believe I will have this fan for many many years to come because of this. You can choose to have a light or choose to not have a light and both kits come included. You can also choose to install the fan outdoors or indoors. I personally think this fan would look great anywhere. I ultimately chose to install this fan in my bedroom and I really like minimalistic look. This fan was everything I was looking for. This fan is quiet while moving a good amount of air. The light puts out a good amount of light for how small it is and is dimmable if you prefer for it not to be so bright. I am also liking the light switch that came with fan, it has one large button for the on and off switch so it is easy to find in the dark. Overall I am very satisfied with this fan.

We installed this on our screened lanai on the basis of the reviews here and the fact that the specifications said it could move 5000 CFM per minute on “high”. The other contributing factor was the compact size, we have and 7’6” ceiling height. There is no way this fan moves 5000 CFM. We have smaller fans in our bed rooms that spin at higher RPM and move more air. Very disappointing since we paid a premium for this unit over low cost options. We’ll be looking to replace it soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this in a 4 season sunroom, and it is perfect. It's a flush mount so sits close to the ceiling. It has a wall mounted control which is easy to use and looks great. The only problem is that we wanted to try it with the light at the bottom but can't figure out how to get the silver cover off! It does look good with that on, but thought we'd try it with the light to see how that looks too. Overall, very pleased.

The fan was easy to install but it did take me about an hour to complete. I’ve installed several fans before and it has never taken that long. The wall control is awesome because you simply push the button for the fan speed. The LED light is bright and it also includes a dimming feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Originally, we were going to use this fan in our home office. We currently have some high-end elan fixtures, which is a division of Kichler. This fan was suited to be a perfect and elegant compliment to the chrome teardrop lights that we absolutely love. Once the fan arrived though, we noticed that it is labeled as suitable for wet locations. At that point, we knew that we had to use this in our pool area. We have a pole barn with a nice overhang that covers a hot tub and is adjacent to our pool. In the summer, the still air can really keep this area too warm to use. With a ceiling fan, it will help regulate the still air and keep this area more useful. Another reason we felt this fan belonged near our barn is its forward-looking design. One of the hottest trends in antique stores and flea markets is old airplane props. For whatever reason, the fan gives the impression of a vintage airplane prop with a twist towards the future. It's very cool and matches our retro-trendy style. Even though the area was not equipped for a ceiling fan before, it did have an existing light fixture. Because the housing to the light fixture is aluminum and the siding on the overhang is aluminum, it was easy to install this fan. Anyone who has installed a fan before would have no trouble. For someone who has not installed a fan from scratch, I believe the task would be achievable with a little bit of reading and some patience. One cool thing about this fan is that it can be used with or without the light. We chose to use both. We leave the LED light on all the time for security and as a nightlight for those evening hot tub dips. I would buy this fan again without thinking twice. The value is much better than builder's grade product, especially considering the smooth appearance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fan looked great and was looking forward to the wall plate provided for the on/off feature of the light as well as the different levels for the fan. The installation was going well until it was time to connect the female to male plastic couplers. After attempting to connect them for several minutes, I noticed that one of the plastic couplers was bent and way off set , hence I couldn't get them to align with each other. I tries for several more minutes without success. I then had to take the whole thing down and replace my old light in the room. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fixture was easy to install, looks great, but did have some down falls about it. Install time took about 45 minutes. The fan is very heavy and required a T brace for installation. I was excited to see it was a LED light and had fan controls on the wall plate. But the fan control is battery operated and requires a odd size battery, The LED bulb is a proprietary to the maker and not available from a home center. The light is very bright and dimable. With the wireless controller there are no ugly chains for fan speed and light control. The motor is very quiet and moves ALOT of air for only having 3 fan blades.

The fan has a very modern design and can be used in both outdoor and indoor use. We used it indoor and enjoy its air circulation. We do like the led lighting as it cuts down on our energy costs.

The instillation directions were very straight forward and easy to follow. Truthfully the hardest part about setup was figuring out how to take down the existing ceiling fan. I love the wall mounted control switch. Being able to select my fan setting with the push of a button rather than guessing how many times I need to pull a string is great!!! The fan is so silent and moves so much air. Now I just need 4 more for the rest of my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is absolutely gorgeous installed. Although it is an outdoor unit, we installed it in my son's bedroom. It is really sleek and the fan body and blades are more solid that other fans we've owned. It is also SUPER quiet. We installed this ourselves (replacing a fan that broke) and the hook on the motor that hangs the unit to the ceiling so that you can do the wiring -- this was wonderful. My only install beef is that the wiring has tuck into a very tight spots -- and it's hard to jam everything into the boxes (this is like most fans, though). Troubleshooting tip: we didn't have the blades tightened enough and the fan wouldn't spin at first. Once we seeded them correctly, all was good.
