JanSport Driver 8 Backpack Navy

We bought one of these and in 6 months one of the wheels broke. We had to pay $50 to return it for warranty and ordered another one since we got the refund. The telescoping handle broke on the next one within 3 months. Had to do the same process yet again. Now wondering whether I should order again or not.

I have this backpack for over a month now and I am a nursing student, 5 days in school. What's inside my backpack are 1-2 thick books, binder, huge pencil case, purse with personal stuffs, another purse for electrical items like charger, powering, laptop and charger, etc. This bag saved my back! I am pretty much organized and I am really taking good care of my belongings. This bag is still intact. Wheels, handle, zippers still pretty good. If you take care of your bag it will lasts longer.

Inferior quality to my last Jansport. It will never last as long. Fewer pockets and very poor design of rigid flap covering zipper. New handle not an improvement over former u-shape. Terribly overpriced for the downgraded product. Will never buy brand again.

I'm a teacher with a lot of heavy books and tech. The wheels and handle have held up to an urban commute. The wheels are a hard plastic so are noisier than rollerblade-style wheels on sidewalks. The durability issue I've had is that the clip that holds the backpack strap to the backpack broke after only a few months. I would like it much better if there were 2 side water bottle pockets and if the handle was a double pole design so another bag with a luggage pass-thru could sit on top of it. If you are only looking to roll it then I recommend it.

Bought this for my daughter after she bruised a rib. Purchased in February of 2025. The backpack straps broke within a week. Handle stopped extending by May, wheel broke in June.

I use this product for school. It helps is much that I don't even have to carry a heavy a backpack and l'm only in middle school. This helps with my back problems so much. It just carries my stuff for me and l'm just pulling it to my next class. I recommend buying this for school or work.

Nice bag at premium cost, two part wheels fail. Outside tread cracks and breaks off. Warranty not that useful with mail in policy. Better wheels are abundant in the market, Jansport should consider them.

The shoulder straps always get caught on the wheel while pulling it around. Causing the straps to get worn from friction with the wheel. Eventually it will give out and rip apart. This happened in less than a month of use. The sales staff at the store said it has happened to other customers as well. We always tuck the straps away now after we got it repaired.

Please make more colors- orange, green, purple other blue shades etc Also, great bag but it needs two water bottle mesh pouches on each side and they need to go up taller about 1.5 to hold in the bottles

So very disappointed! purchased this for my middle schooler but the handle broke after 3 wks of school. I love a lot of things about this backpack including the design, the handle shouldn't be the deal breaker, unfortunately it is.

My 8 year old son loves to pull his backpack to school! , it gives him something to concentrate on and enjoy, helping to soothe his anxiety about all the new changes that come with back to school. The design is ofcourse A+ too!
