Jandean Table Lamp - 27 Inch Height - TBL2002 - Brown - Safavieh

The lamp is beautiful and big. I had to return it, here's why. I wanted a pair, so I ordered two of them. First one - perfect. Second one - had a broken switch. I knew something was wrong before I even took it out of the box as I could see the switch jiggling. Sure enough, it was broken. No problem, things happen in shipping. I decided to order a third one to replace the broken one. It arrived and was obviously a return from another customer. The packaging was incomplete, torn, and the lamp base was scratched. This was not a tiny bit of damage that I had to look for - it was huge and obvious. I am shocked that Safavieh would allow a returned lamp to go out in that condition. Did anyone even look at it? Plus, all three boxes smelled of vomit. It was disgusting. I noticed a date from 2021 stamped on the boxes, so I think they were sitting in some musty warehouse and got moldy or something. I returned all three because I didn't want to take another chance at a damaged lamp. It took me two trips to Target as the boxes were huge. Target was great about the returns. I'm not sure I will ever buy a lamp again from Safavieh. Where is the quality control? All in all, it was a disappointing experience because I really wanted two "statement lamps" and these fit the bill. Unfortunately, trying to get two that worked and undamaged was a challenge.
