  • A: Misinformation: the HRF-AP1 is not even compatible with this model - it has no pre-filter & the HRF-AP1 cannot be used with it. HRF-01 is NOT available anywhere - nobody carries it in-store or online

I searched the model HPA120B filter type O and ended up with HRF-O1 HEPA filter. It's not zero one, 01- IT IS O1. Maybe this will clear up misunderstanding I've read in the QA section here.

Not as described

Bought this item in store a few days ago. Very much liked the way it was carefully packaged, and it seemed like a decent quality item for the price. Turned it on, and on the sleep mode it was very quiet. Liked it, so I immediately started searching for a replacement filter to have on hand (per manual, needs changing every 9-12 months). Despite extensive searches, I simply cannot find any replacement filters for this model. This makes the unit totally worthless, and seems like a scam if Honeywell is even selling the unit on their own website, but neither they nor anyone else makes a replacement filter for it. Total waste of money for something that must be thrown away after 9 months. Plan to return it to the store for a refund, because it is described as having a replaceable filter - not so!

Can’t buy new filters. Need to buy a new machine when filter goes. Otherwise this might have been a decent purifier.

Sleep benefits

I bought this for my bedroom after frequent eye infections and coughing fits in the night. Having used it for several nights I am pleased with the results. I don't have a coughing fit at bedtime or in the night. My nose is less irritated the next day. I feel safer sleeping in my room with this little HEPA running. Since I work at several moldy houses for clients I need a clean air environment to recharge in. This Honeywell filter has 3 pretty quiet settings and a useful bedtime mode which lowers the light on the display buttons. I like the small size compared to the old HEPA filters that were in my room growing up... monsters with handles that screwed in the top. I would recommend this for under $100 and as a good bedroom air purifier/filter.
