Don’t love it

I love it!
I am glad I got a hatch, the sunrise is so nice and I love the sounds for sleeping. My only complaint is I wish there were more alarm options - I don't really like the speaking alarms and I sleep through the nature sounds so that leaves me with not a lot of options.

Life changing
I still can’t believe I’m being woken up with light. Even if I have a terrible night of rest I won’t sleep through the hatch how I would sleep through my traditional alarm. Now I dread not sleeping at my house because of how much I love my hatch, my mornings are so peaceful I can never go back to my phone alarm.

I completely regret buying this and returned it. I didn't read the fine print. Not only do you need to download the app to operate it, you cannot do any set up without paying for the plus subscription. You cannot delete that after the free trial but not the app. I wanted an alarm to keep phones out of the bedroom, this is not the one. We also found the wake up a bit jarring compared to other sunrise alarms. It has LOTS of options and functions but yet missing most of what I actually would want. (No Bluetooth, no off app functionality you can only use their subscription mediation options) save yrself the hassle and skip it. I got a lumie instead.

Mixed feelings
I am enjoying the wind down and the sleep sounds. I love the wakeup light. I am having issues with the buttons. I've watched the instruction video more than once but once I'm in bed I can't see to get them to work the way I want. The power cord is not long enough. I live in an older home and we don't have power outlets every 2 ft.

DO NOT BUY!! Ive had 3 and all are defective!!!
DO NOT buy the hatch restore. I purchased my first one back in 2022. Since then, I have had TWO replacements and just started having issues with my third. I contacted customer service and they said they can no longer help me since my hatch has been replaced. How is it MY fault that YOUR company is producing a product that is defective. Obviously it has not been fixed since I’ve had 3 restores between 2022-2024. My first restore lost connectivity and wouldn’t connect/turn on. They replaced that one. The one I received as the replacement started “skipping” and the noise would go in and out. They replaced that one. Now my most recent replacement completely cuts off in the middle of the night. I have to manually turn it back on. I’m done with hatch especially after the lack of customer support on an issue I cannot control.

The Hatch has really upped my sleep game. Developing a routine using the sounds and meditations that Hatch offers has increased the time I spend asleep and decreases the amount of time it takes to fall asleep. I totally recommend!

This isn't it
I really wanted to like this. All the lights are too harsh even when dimmed most of the way. Sounds are also too harsh and there aren’t many options even when you pay for the monthly subscription. Also, this unit was kinda ugly sitting on my cute nightstand. I returned it. Then I subscribed to the sleepiest app and I like it much better. More options if I have to pay per month anyways.

The product is awesome and the clock looks great bedside. However, the app is not intuitive, but if you play around with it enough it makes sense. After learning curve to use the app, it's becomes faster / easier to update settings.

Won’t connect anymore
My new hatch restore 2 was working wonderful, it was connected to my wifi booster and it was working amazingly until i changed the password on the router and now it won’t connect at all. I’ve tried everything and i’ve even reset the booster again and nothing will change.

I do find benefits so far using my hatch however in my research I have learned the vast amount of options that were taken away from the restore 2 to the restore 3. For example, I’d love to be able to transition into a morning meditation or be able to keep the light feature active after I turn my alarm off (when you turn off the alarm the room goes back to silent darkness, prompting you to fall back asleep). It is my understanding that these types of features were fully functional in the downgraded version. I am on the fence and may take advantage of the 30 day trial period and just end up returning it for what it costs

I do love my Hatch and how peaceful it is to fall asleep to and wake up to. My 4 star rating is due to the app. It loads every time I open it, regardless of how quickly I swipe out of it and open it back up. In the mornings, it takes awhile to load therefore I have to wait to shut off my alarm. I wish it popped up right on my phone.

Room for Improvement in App
I like everything except the app has a slow loading time. Especially when i’m trying to saving my changes. Under the sleep section in the app you should be able to drag the sounds options up and down rather than having to hit the three dots then selecting “Move Up or Move Down”. There should also be a morning routine section. I have a 30 minute morning routine so it would be nice to have to option to select a morning meditation or light option. I really do love all that comes with Hatch +!
