HOM Smart Sunrise Alarm Clock with Wake-Up Light & FM Radio - Digital Clock and Lamp with 7 Sounds and Colors - Amazon Alexa and Google Home

It is challenging to find info on this clock, so I’ll share my observations. First of all, I like the clock. It’s not perfect, but it’s far cheaper than some other sunrise clocks while checking all of my boxes. First, the clock face is dimmable, so you can choose its brightness or turn it off. The time is set by wifi, so always correct. You can choose to wake up to just light, light and sound effect, radio, or radio and light. The radio is tricky. It does not tell you the station numbers. Instead, it scans all available stations and assigns presets to any signals it gets. It will be up to you to listen to presets and determine which station you are hearing. They are not modifiable. They will be in order, so once a channel is identified, you can use that to determine how close you are to the one you want. The sunrise feature goes from a dark red to bright yellow. The shortest duration is 10 mins, the longest is 60 mins. There is a sleep mode on here to aid in going to sleep. The light will just do the opposite of sunrise. The unit was supposed to have sleep sounds, and the options are listed, but they do not work. apparently, it is not uncommon for these sound files to be excluded on these units. There are up to 4 alarms and can be set for specific days. Ie monday- Friday. I have mine set for a 10 min sunrse and I generally wake a couple of minutes into the brightening. The alarm goes off once the sunrise is at the brightness you set during setup. Alarm audio does not fade in, but starts at the volume you set in the alarm setup. Personally, I wanted an alarm that would be set by wifi, have a sunrise effect, and would play radio. The Hom Smart Sunrise Alarm clock checks those boxes. The only flaw are the missing sound files for sleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for a few weeks now. It’s a unique clock with its very colorful light. With alarm and FM radio it’s a nice way of waking up. I haven’t spent much time using the controls on the clock, but rather I’ve used to app - HOM Essence to be exact. From there you can set alarms - 4. You can choose birds, wavs, stream, piano and a few more, or the radio. One thing about the radio is I don’t see a way of setting the volume (at least in the app) before turning it on…. Which was a full volume that is fairly loud. It will auto seek stations and at least on the app, list them as a number (that doesn’t correspond with frequencies - 101.1) Because it’s connected to the internet, the time is set automatically which is extremely nice. The lights are wonderful and very vibrant. I also have the HOM robo vac. They have since integrated that into this app, keeping their products in once place. It’s definitely a unique clock/radio worthy of your consideration.

this is a perfect addition to my morning routine. instead of using my phone, i can have this by my bed which wakes me up gently, starting the day off right!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy wakeup for the kiddos. It's not a screeching alarm and has waxing wakeup lights to ease them awake. I also enjoy the sleep sounds. Tuning the radio is difficult because you have to be quick on the draw tho stop it once you think you are at your favorite station.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this alarm clock. Besides it’s modern look I like it has physical buttons to control it but also an app that makes it simple. I love the multiple alarms. The LED lights are great, they sorta sync w your Bluetooth’d music or built in radio. The sunrise alarm feature is really neat, I had never had an alarm clock w this so I wasn’t sure but even w my tv on it still worked. It also has a USB type A in the back for a charging cord of your choosing.

They are at an age where they need to get up on their own and the old alarm clock had a loud buzzer...which is never nice to wake up to. I have this one set to a sunrise natural wakeup and birds chirping. They also enjoy the wind down noises and fire light to lull them to sleep. The radio function is a bit difficult to navigate, as it just scans local stations and you have to be quick on the draw to stop at your favorite one. I can control it from my phone, which is nice.

And as someone who is a light sleeper, I don’t need some jarring thing to wake me up. The gentle sunrise wake up light is the ticket. You can set it to wake you up with any light color or any sound that you would like. The app is super easy to set up and I like being able to set my wake up time before I get into bed. I want my sleep time to be focused on sleep, not messing with my alarm clock. And as a radio user, I love that this has a radio! Who knew that would be a unique feature in 2025, but it is. I can wake up to my favorite morning show. MNThe other feature that I think is awesome, and I’m gonna buy one of these for my niece who likes to sleep with white noise, is the falling asleep features. You can use the sounds that they offer like rain or crickets or Bluetooth from your phone. There’s also a timer for how long you want the background noise on. You can also integrate it with Alexa or Google. Personally, I have so much tied up with Alexa that I actually prefer that this is separate and I can use the app for it. But if that’s a feature you’re interested in, it is there! I just think this thing is fantastic.
