Cuisinart 5 Speed Hand Mixer HM-150

I replaced my hand mixer because the brand I had didn't have a low speed, and everything I tried to use the mixer for was a horrible mess. I ordered the Cuisinart mixer and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Its easy to clean, a the cord reel is fabulous. I would highly recommend this mixer.

This is attractive and I like the inclusion of the whisk, the cord storage, the speed setting ease and the overall design is really appealing. I bought this on an emergency basis for quick delivery after my old hand mixer beaters malfunctioned and they're no longer manufactured so I could not replace them and I had to finish a recipe. The only reason I'm giving this three stars instead of five is that it felt substantially underpowered by comparison to my old KitchenAid handheld mixer. If you don't need a workhorse this is a very good bargain pick.

It wasn't obvious at first how to power it but I figured it out. The handle has a nice diameter for someone with big hands like me, but the angle is a bit awkward since it is at a right angle. It stands nicely on the counter when you stop for a moment. Satisfied with the purchase.

One beater shakes horribly. Motor makes a noise like a cheap, poorly manufactured one. Plus at the highest speed it is not fast enough. Don't believe the reviews.

Every Thanksgiving I peel 20lbs of potatoes and make mashed potatoes. This hand mixer makes the job much easier!!

Not very powerful for a heavy and corded hand mixer. Max speed of five barely mixes cake mix. Would not work on dough. My 15 year old hand mixer that is not a name brand that cost $10-$15 works better, much lighter and will mix cookie dough. I thought I was upgrading and was disappointed. If I did not get this on sale, definitely not worth the price. Usually cuisinart makes decent products.

It’s still going strong, I just thought it was time for an upgrade. This one came with two mixers and ONE chef’s whisk. When I first opened it, I thought I was missing a piece but no, it just comes like that. On the bottom of the mixer is a QR coding which takes you to the instruction manual. I like that you get to play around with it first. It was totally not intuitive how the cord spool works but the manual explained that as well. The rest of the gadget is intuitively designed. There’s a light up speed indicator which looks cool but is totally unnecessary. It’s a fine hand mixer that gets the job done. There’s a three year warranty and I hope it lasts for 15+ years.

I was in the middle of making holiday treats and my old hand mixer’s beater refused to stay in place. It was at least 15 years old and definitely used. I looked at many hand held mixers and after reading reviews, decided to buy this one. I am so happy I did! It is quiet, easy to use and hides the cord when not in use! What a treat! I was confused, at first, thinking the cord was on a spring but it is not. Love this so far! I know I will enjoy using this!

I love that the cord tucks away easily inside of the back compartment. Just slide the back up and wind the cord in. The mixer has 5 speeds which get pretty powerful for a hand mixer. I love how easy it is to change the settings as you go and how many things I can truly do with this. Oh and did I mention there is a whisk attachment!!! Bring it on holiday dinners!

The digital speed control makes it easy to get the exact mixing power ID, and I love that it stands on its end without tipping over. The building cord storage keeps everything neat, which was always an issue with my older mixer. It also comes with the chef's whisk, which is a great bonus and works really well for lighter mixes. overall, it's been a reliable, easy to use upgrade for my kitchen.

It's extremely simple and easy to use. Most hand mixers are really loud, however, this one is pretty quiet, making it so you can use it anytime of day, including when family members are asleep! It mixes everything very nicely. The cord stores conveniently at the bottom of the mixer.

Ty r motor is surprisingly strong and multiple speed options give good control. It’s also quieter then I expected and compared to other mixers. The attachments are dishwasher safe which is a must in my household. Highly recommend for everyday baking. A must for someone looking for a new hand mixer.

I bought it to replace one that I’ve had for a few years that I accidentally used on some hard frosting and bent part of it. I did not realize that this new one would be so much better. I absolutely love that. There is a compartment to wind up the cord for storage. It is not automatic. You have to do it by hand, but it is very neat and tidy. I also like that it has that button on the front to remove the mixers. The mixer feels very powerful. I only took it up to study three for the whipped cream that I made and the custard in it was very thorough.

This is a solid mixer; it seems well built. The only reason that I didn’t give it a 5 star is that I wish that there was a knob on the dial. I expect to have trouble turning it off and on if my hand isn’t perfectly dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this mixer is great! I’m replacing my trusty old one of 20+ years to enjoy the convenience of a self storing cord and a whisk attachment. The self storing cord is cool and makes having it in the drawer much easier! The whisk attachment is really cool and o love that I can put it in the dishwasher! The cord is a good length. The sound is a normal level for a mixer. It mixed my angel food cake like a dream.

Digital display is easy to read and it’s very easy to change speeds smoothly. Overall very happy to have this on hand. Also easy to insert beaters and a quick push of a button releases them. This is a vast improvement over my last handheld mixer.

I had a very difficult time figuring out how to get the cord out, but it is easy once i figured it out. Unscrew the bottom and that was it but that is no where in the instructions. The single beater seems flimsy but the double beaters are much thicker. I thought it worked well making whipped cream but it did take longer than my bigger take top mixer.

I couldn’t find directions no how to open the cord area. I thought it was a tension pull but the top slides forward for your to wrap it inside. I like that I can easily spin the speed while holding the mixer one handed. The two attachments seem solid, the whisk seems a bit flimsy but I think it will hold up. I would by it again and recommend it to others.
