Q: I have been looking for a tiny GoPro that would fit on a hot wheel car (there is one that is specifically made for a camera but I have no idea which one). Would this fit on it?

submitted by Cclark - 1 year ago
  • A: I’d recommend an insta 360. It is smaller and more versatile.

submitted bySam - 9 months ago
  • A: Hi Cclark, thanks for reaching out about the GoPro HERO. To better understand your individual needs, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

  • A: There was a special Hot Wheels car with a built-in mount for the GoPro Session cameras. The HERO has a different size and shape than those Session models, but it might work with a Hot Wheels car. You might need to use an adhesive mount or other mounting system to attach it to a car though.

Q: Can I attatch this to my surf board and is it waterproof?

submitted by Kai wyman - 9 months ago
  • A: Hi Kai wyman, thanks for reaching out about GoPro HERO You would need both mounting and waterproofing accessories to attach this to your surf board. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

  • A: Yes, the HERO can be used on a surfboard. The HERO is waterproof on its own down to 16 feet, so it should handle the splashes and waves well. GoPro also makes a specialized surfboard mount that sticks to most surfboards and includes a tether for added security.

Q: Will this mount attachment work in the mount that's in the old Toyota Tacomas? 2016/2017

submitted by amber - 1 year ago
  • A: The mount installed on the Tacomas using our standard mounting system, so the mounting buckle that is included with the HERO camera should slide right into the Tacoma's mount, and then you can connect the HERO to that buckle.

  • A: Hi amber, thanks for reaching out about GoPro HERO. Yes, it uses strong double-sided tape to hold the mount in place. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Is this model good for recording and taking northern light pictures in an extrem cold (-40 F) weather?

submitted by Victor - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Victor, thanks for reaching out about the GoPro HERO. If ambient temperature drops below 20°c or 68°f it will not work. Yes, you can use a GoPro HERO to take pictures of the Northern Lights. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

  • A: GoPro doesn't have a formal low-temperature rating for our cameras or accessories, and there are reports of customers using our cameras in some pretty extreme conditions. If you're in extremely cold temperatures, you will want to try to keep the battery warm to prevent some power drain that cold temperatures can cause. If you can keep the HERO in a pocket inside your jacket where your body heat can keep it warmer between shots, that's a great option. Then, pull the camera out when you're ready to shoot. When the camera is on, it will generate some heat, which will help extend the battery life when shooting in colder temperatures.

Q: When looking for accessories, what accessories fit this

submitted by Tasha - 14 days ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about GoPro HERO. Most GoPro mounts and basic accessories that use the standard three-prong attachment system are universally compatible with all GoPro HERO cameras. Accessories that are specifically designed to fit the body or use specific ports, such as protective housings, lenses, and mods, are generally not cross-compatible between different GoPro HERO models due to variations in camera size and shape. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Does this come with an as card?

submitted by Emily - 24 days ago
  • A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about GoPro HERO. That is a crucial detail to know when buying a camera! No, the GoPro HERO camera typically does not come with an SD (microSD) card in the standard retail box. GoPro cameras (from the older original HERO model all the way up to the newest HERO12 and HERO13 Black) are usually sold as the camera body and accessories (like a battery, mounting buckle, and charging cable), but without the memory card. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Can this GoPro HERO be utilized to stream via GameChanger as an external camera/device?

submitted by GameChanger - 1 month ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about GoPro HERO. Yes, compatible GoPro HERO models can be used as an external camera to stream to GameChanger, but only specific newer models that support RTMPS live streaming are directly compatible. The original, basic "GoPro HERO" model likely does not support this feature. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Bought 2. One didn't charge at all, DOA. Second just blank screens half the time I use it.

Also. . . won't charge using mag adapter. I had to use a cheap throw-away charger and that kind of worked. But still, half the time I just get a blank screen and the device just won't really function whatsoever. Really, really bad QA for this to occur on 2 devices back to back.

A great product

I loved this product. The HERO is super light weight. Although, the battery does die pretty fast. Otherwise this is a perfect product for any beginner wanting great quality.

4 wheeling and Repo safety

I bought a hero on sale because my truck has a GoPro mount on the windshield and it’s great for off roading. Lately I’ve been using it for safety going out on repos and dealing lienholders, once I mention theyre being recorded they act more professional and less threatening because I wear it for protection both ways, it gives them a graceful reminder and once they know, they act more accountable and less likely to be a problem during the repo, thanks GoPro! Great camera!!!

Mine has never worked properly since it came out of the box. It turns on immediately after being charged and wont turn off until the battery is dead. The refund page says it is not eligable for a return.

Expensive paper weight

Brand new out of the box and took it to record and it burnt up or something. Wouldn't charge or turn on. After some research I found many others with the same experience with this product being new. Buy something else this is junk.

Great Camera. . . not many accessories.

I bought this camera for it's size, and that it has pretty good video quality. However, I do a lot of motorcycle videos, but no windscreen covers available for this camera (that I've been able to locate). The microphone makes really odd sounds at speed, which I am forced to dub-over with music. The picture quality is everything I've ever wanted.

Hero 4K

This camera completely bricked on my first ride. Only a couple days after receiving it. Brand new in the box from GoPro. It recorded for 51 seconds and shut down. Kept turning on and off by itself after that the same day. Then wouldn’t take a charge or turn on and completely shut down. After trying all the reset options still nothing! I see why people are leaving and walking away from GoPro! I literally got hit by a truck in the freeway riding my motorcycle the next day after it wouldn’t work and had no proof it was the other guys fault! Thanks for nothing GoPro. I also put in for a refund or replacement and haven’t heard anything back. Just straight ignoring me. I gave one star but only because you have to in order to do a review. Actually negative stars is what this garbage device is worth!

DO NOT BUY

Worst user experience of any product ever, allow me to explain. GoPro footage is shaky by nature (on your head, handheld, on your bike, etc. ) and needs stabilization. GoPro has great stabilization, but for this camera, they require you to import footage to the Quik mobile app on a phone in order to stabilize it. It takes hours to transfer footage from camera to phone because the only method is over wifi, and the camera will overheat and turn off during the process so you'll have to restart from the last completed clip transfer. Once in app, you must individually stabilize and export each clip to get 4K resolution. App crashes regularly during stabilization and this process also takes hours because you have to do each clip individually. I have the top end iPhone 14 Pro Max, good luck if you have a less powerful phone. Then you have to transfer files from phone to computer, which takes forever over Airdrop, and the files are too large to upload to iCloud. I have tried every troubleshooting step in every article they have. The app continues to crash during stabilization on certain clips, doesn’t matter how many times I restart the app, restart the phone, delete and reimport the clips. My phone has 80% storage free, 1TB total storage. No other apps running. Still crashes every time on the same clips.

Amazing But

By Far The Best Mini Camera I've Bought So Far, Outstanding Stabilization And Quality. The Only Bad Side To It Is You Can Accidentally Click The Record Button And It Will Start Recording When It's Not One. Now This Has Saved Me From Missing A Shot Twice But Its Caused More Trouble Then It's Prevented.

They call it Quik, but it's incredibly sloooowwww

This camera is pretty good as an action camera—it's durable, lightweight and shoots 4K. However, everything else about it is half baked. The worst part is, you know they did this to target a lower price bracket and a more "consumer" audience. Allow me to elaborate. . . The battery is built in and they advertise ONLY 1 HOUR of life. In my experience, it can go closer to 2 hours in warm weather, but it's dismal in the cold. Good luck getting 1 ski run in. The stabilization in the Quik app is a very poorly executed idea. Sure, it works, but let's say you just shot 8 hours of footage across 35 clips. First, you have to transfer all those clips from the camera to your phone, which takes hours. You need lots of storage on your phone too. Not to mention, the GoPro will overheat during the transfer process and turn off (happens to me every time), so you'll have to wait another hour for it to cool, then continue with the clips that didn't go thru. Also, you need to keep the camera plugged in or it will die while transferring. Once you've spent a day and a half transferring footage to your phone, then you have to export the clips from the Quik app so the stabilization gets applied. This takes even longer than transferring from the camera to the phone, and you have to stay on the Quik app screen during the export. A 10 minute clip at 4K takes about 10 minutes to export. Multiply that by 35 clips and that's about 6 hours to export everything. And you have to do it one at a time. . . no bulk export option. It breaks my brain that the team at GoPro approved this idea. It's one of the worst user experiences of any product I have ever used. They could have solved it all by putting the stabilization in-camera and using removable batteries. But then you wouldn't need to buy the Hero13. . .

when the camera correctly pairs to the app it is good. however, far to frequently it will not pair, or footage that I can preview on the camera does not show up on the app. Similarly when plugged into the computer through the cable it says footage is unavailable.
