An enchanting historical romance!!
Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse's first novel in The Treasures of Nome series is utterly captivating. The trio of Powell sister's interactions with one another rings true with varied emotions, small spats between the triad, and memorable personalities. As an old family friend, John Roselli, strives to prove his worth to the Powell family you become enmeshed in finding new friendships, learning to trust, and something worth even more. What an absolutely wonderful read, don't miss the second in the series, Hidden Treasure, it's absolutely fantastic as well. On the horizon, in early 2022, there will be a third added to the series. I can't wait to see what happens next to this interesting family!

Captivating
Close your eyes and you will be transported to Nome, Alaska and it will be 1904. This book paints a picture of farming near a mining town and the hardships and good times of a close knit family. Music is the key that opens the door to their hearts and hidden secrets is what keeps the same doors closed. I love the characters of three red headed sisters each having a unique personality and their family dynamics with a loving, protective grandfather and their mother. The strength they have in dire situations and the faith they rely upon makes for a great read. Enter a handsome hero to cause a little upheaval and help in a way they didn’t see coming. There are many twists and turns with unsavory characters and unexpected circumstances. I found myself engrossed in the story line as well as the setting, as the collaboration of these authors never disappoints. Another one to go on my keeper shelf.
I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.

At 23 years old, Hayvn Powell lives an enchanted life in Nome, Alaska. Supported by her loving mother and grandfather, Hayvn and her sisters have grown into a trio of strong women. All seems ideal, until a mysterious illness strikes her grandfather, leaving the family looking for a way to hang on to their livelihood.
An unknown gentleman arrives to keep the farm running, but the girls uncover documents that may prove him less than noble. With grandfather and then their mother both falling ill, the girls must search out the truth amidst a sea of secrets and romance. Before they lose everything.
Another wonderful read by Peterson and Woodhouse. The authors of The Heart of Alaska series return to a familiar setting and place this story in the 1900's gold rush. Melding history and romance, they write a cast of well-rounded characters, each unique and distinct in their own right. Forever Hidden also includes the rich details of both the gold rush period and Alaska itself that make it an interesting read.
While some aspects of the story were predictable, others were not. And some characters that seem flat later came to life, providing twists and turns throughout the story. For anyone that loves historical Christian reads, Forever Hidden will not disappoint. The only problem is... now I'm anxiously awaiting book #2.
