I have been using them on a daily basis as needed to open packages as well as bags. They have not lost their sharpness yet, and they are very effective at cutting. It took a minute to get used to the handle as it is meant to be used in your right hand. Since I am right-handed, this was not an issue for me, but it is a bit different than other scissors I own.

These are your standard bright orange fabric scissors and it's clear to see why! I wouldn't choose any other kind of scissors than these. They are reliable for any cutting needs, even tough fabric. I work in IT so a big part of my job is cable management. That means I am always cutting strips of thick velcro to wrap cables and keep them looking neat and tidy. There's nothing worse than having a pair of dull scissors when you're trying to get your work done! Fiskars, though, are perfect, allowing you to slice through smoothly and quickly. The handle is also very ergonomic for right-handed people. I'm naturally left-handed but these scissors still work great even then. If you're getting serious about your tough fabric-cutting needs, these are the perfect scissors to buy.
