A: Hello from Ello! The Ava Tumbler isn’t vacuum-insulated, so it won’t keep ice cold for several hours like a stainless steel bottle. That said, its borosilicate glass and silicone grip help reduce condensation and keep your drink cool for about 30–60 minutes, depending on the amount of ice and room temperature.

A: Hello from Ello! We do not recommend using the Ava Tumbler for hot beverages. While the Ava is designed with an extra silicone band to protect your hands, the glass itself is not designed to hold hot liquids, and could burn your hands if picked up from the wrong area.

Perfect For Iced Coffee
This cup is a great size and has a great feel when you hold it. My teen daughter uses it daily for coffee or water. It has a nice aesthetic and I will be purchasing more. The silicone part of the lid comes off for washing so be sure to separate it when you are cleaning. I’m not sure why the instructions are not clear about that. We mostly hand wash, but have run it through the dishwasher a few times as well and it does just fine.

Mold around seal on lid
I agree with Roana - I love, love, love this cup - I know I am drinking more water because it’s glass but I too am seeing mold around the lid - not sure I should keep using it.

I bought two and I loved them at first. I believed the lid to be one piece and did not take apart to clean. There was mold. Just make sure to complete take everything apart to wash.
