Beware metal allergy
I do NOT recommend this cup of you have a child who has sensitive skin or a metal allergy. I’m a very angry mom that Dr Brown has never disclosed what this metal piece is made of (it’s the hidden weighted piece) or said that it’s part of the design! It’s irresponsible and negligent to not mention it in the items description. Nowhere on any store page does it say metal is part of this cup. Why not be transparent? What are they hidding? Is it lead? Nickle? After I bought 5 of these cups for my young toddler & fed his milk and water everyday since, My son suffered horribly for 7 months & several doctors appointments because he mouth was red, cracked, peeling, bleeding, he was in pain everyday. Blood on his sheets every single morning. He was crying, uncomfortable, fussy. Eatting was painful for him. I dropped hundreds of dollars on visits to the pediatrician, dermatologist & allergist. Hundreds on products, creams, ointments, new house cleaning & bathing Products. …I want to know what is this metal piece?! It took my mom judgement to investigate his cups when nothing else helped him & all that money spent. Well these cups are the problem. I want Dr browns to respond back to me. Im extremely angry

Not positive reinforcement-friendly
While it didnt leak, husband and I found our 9 month old struggling when she can typically get sips from my cup just fine. We tried it and it required a very strong suction to get the water out. So not ideal when teaching a baby unfortunately

Leaks from the straw area
Leaks. Definitely can’t hand this over without supervision. All I had to do was tip it upside down gently. Straw was installed properly.

Good first straw cup
I got this for my 8m baby. It’s easy for him to grab and he succeeds in using the straw after a few tries the same day. He can drink more water than before using the bottle without weighted straw.

Leaks
This cup leaks. A lot. It is also difficult for little hands to open. If it was hard to open, it would be fine to leave open except it leaks. Many times, my child has been drenched because of the cup leaking.

Eh
I bought this cup for my one year old and although I like the straw feature with cover. There’s too many parts to clean and it’s not solid, leaks a little bit.

Decent cup
We use our weekly, I’ve only had it leak twice out of the whole time I’ve had it. Awesome little cup. My daughter loves it

Cute and functional cup
I really like this cup and my 7 month old does too. The only con would be cleaning it, it’s a little tough to get into the straw.

Best intro sippy cup
I love this cup. The weighted straw is great. And the handles make it easy for baby to hold. I love the wide design it makes it so easy to clean, and all the parts go back together so easily.

Straw sippy cup
This has become my son’s favorite cup! He is 19 months olds and is transitioning from nursing to no nursing, so the fact that he loves using this cup made the transition super easy!!! Plus he doesn’t spill, even with the straw open!

Best First Time Straw Cup
I have had several of these first time straw cups and it always seems something could be improved on them. This one is almost perfect. The only complaint I still have and will forever have with these is the difficulty to make sure they are clean everywhere (the straw!!) but that just comes with the territory. The only other thing with this one that might be an issue is the sliding straw cover. I like that it keeps it from getting dirty but a real young baby/pre-toddler probably won’t be able to do that. Nice feature for the diaper bag though! Other than that my son used it like a pro, although we do have others that are very similar so the learning curve was small. I try to only use them with water due to the above mentioned cleaning issue so can’t speak to how it handles other liquids. I am curious to find out how it handles temperature swings (does the liquid bubble out the straw). With the cold I have not had a chance to test that yet. I got the green and I love the color. It is a very nice change from the typically baby blue or baby/hot pink.

Love this cup! I know every kid is different but this worked like a charm for my son! He immediately took to it after very little experience with straws. The weighted straw is such a great feature and this thing has been yeeted off the high chair so much and is still holding strong. Use with or without the handles. After two days of use I went back and bought another to have a backup. Taking one star away because even though it’s easy enough to take the straw out and reattach for cleaning, I haven’t found a great way to clean inside the straw because of how it’s built.

Great first cup!
First impressions are always the best! When I got this cup, I had to test it out before giving it to my child. So I filled it up and tossed it around. I dropped it off the high chair, off a table, shook it around and was surprise that it didnt spill. My child was able to have a drink successfully through the straw. She loves it! Being a first time mom meant I wanted everything perfect the first time. I didnt want to go through 10 different cups just to find the right one. I didnt have to do that with this one and that's what i love about this cup! [I recieved this product for free in exchange for my honest review]

Would have loved this but . . .
Worked fine when we first checked. After we sterilized it like they recommended it wouldn't work any more. Tried everything but could not suck any fluid up.
