Q: How come my custom printed pictures smear after 24 hours of drying? I tried blowdrying for 2 minutes and sometimes longer per instructions

A: That is a great question. Dry time for printing on Crayola Color Wonder Paper can vary by printer. If using a laser printer, you should be able to color immediately. However, with inkjet printers, the drying time is not immediate. We recommend setting the ink by leaving the printed page sit overnight or longer before coloring. An adult can apply high heat from a hair dryer for 2 minutes to set printer ink to help avoid smearing. Not good for printing custom pages
I got this so I could print custom coloring pages. Doesn’t matter how long you wait, or blow dry. The markers pick up the ink and get ruined

That is frustrating! We are sorry for your disappointing experience with Crayola Color Wonder Paper. This special paper is designed to be colored on the blank, non-logo side of the paper - so that is the side you would want to print on as well. We have found that all printers are not created a like. For example, the ink will take longer to dry when using and inkjet printer. Having an adult apply high heat from a hair dryer for 2 minutes to set printer ink and avoid smearing or allow the ink to set by letting the printed page sit overnight or longer before coloring should reduce smearing. Paper size isn't standard
The paper is not a standard size for printers which is making printing difficult, my phone only allows standard size so I will have to haul out my computer and hope that works. Why wouldn't they just make it a normal size paper?!

Better with a printer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 4 year old enjoyed free drawing on the color free blank coloring pages. Unfortunately we don’t have a working printer so we could not use the free pages available on Crayola. To be honest, she preferred the preprinted pages but once I modeled how to draw on the page she began to free draw with the mess free markers. We would recommend this for an older child who is more capable of creating a drawing independently.

With this pack we can continue to use markers that we already have, without having to but a kit with markers and paper to get more. We will be buying this again in the future when we are ready for more paper!

We’ve used the blank coloring books before, but I really love that these can be used in our printer. I have printed pages from Crayola’s website for my 4 year old daughter to use with her Color Wonder markers. We have really enjoyed the variety that is offered on the website and now allows us to expand to our Color Wonders. These can also still be used plain too which is great! Highly recommend to go along with any Color Wonder products!

These black pages gave me a chance to try to work on tracing with my boys (2.5 and 4) by writing on the paper with pencil and letting the colors if their choice appear when they traced the letters. They loved getting to pick the colors and watch them magically show up. Colors showed prettt quickly which didn’t frustrate my youngest. I cut the sheets in half so they would last even longer!

Great Refill Pack

They also like to make their own creations and these are perfect for doing that. I also think you get a nice amount of pages in the refill pack as well. It should last for a while with the 50 pages.

It is mess free fun activity for children to do. We love sitting and just drawing pictures together. For the value, it would be nice if a few markers were included just so that you could have the materials necessary.
