We recommend using the CoverGirl Make-up Masters 3-in-1 Sharpener or a similar sharpener with a smaller hole for precise sharpening. If your sharpener blade feels dull or it’s hard to sharpen, replacing it usually helps. We don’t suggest refrigerating or freezing the pencil, as that can affect its performance. Hard to sharpen
I love the colors I bought, and they worked well. My black one broke immediately after using it once, however. I used multiple different eye pencil sharpeners, and it does appear to sharpen but it is incredibly hard and takes forever. I've considered resorting to my pocket knife, though I'm not sure that would work either.

Not worth it
Beautiful shade but impossible to sharpen. Reading other reviews seems like it’s not meant to be sharpened? What’s the point? (No pun intended). Will be seeking out a different liner in a similar shade instead.

While the color is amazing there is basically 0 product. There’s only what you see at the tip and using them they just disappear I maybe got 2-3 uses out of one pen :/

Don’t buy
I bought this today, I opened the product and the tip broke immediately. I couldn’t even use it once, and there’s no other product besides the tip shown at the top.

Waste of money
Tip broke instantly, and there is nothing more than the tip from what i can tell. I tried shaking it, twisting it in different places, nothing worked. Couldnt even use it once before i had to throw it away.

I brought this and within the first ten seconds of me using it, it broke. There is not product in there at all to get more so I’m very disappointed and would like a refund

Two time use.
I bought The covergirl upside down eyeliner. It only lasts for a few applications, before it’s done. It appears like it twists to apply additional liner to the pencil. But it doesn’t. Once you use what is on the stick. There is no more to us. Awfully expensive for an eyeliner stick that only lasts for two or three applications. I love the colors. So, very disappointed.
