not for anyone with over an ounce of melanin
would enjoy more if it didn't leave a horrible white cast on my skin and didn't blend in. sunscreen is important but it needs to be practical and believe me when I say most people don't want to walk around looking like pennywise. shame because i enjoy the consistency its effective but that doesn't matter if i never want to use it. when i say it doesn't blend in it doesn't blend in no matter how much time or rubbing I do. medium dark skin for reference.

Clean ingredients and constant improvement
CeraVe is my go to. Not only do I use it for body lotion, face wash, but especially the sunscreen. The label doesn’t lie when it says hydrating and sheer because it comes off so smooth, doesn’t build up on my face and leave leftover marks, and doesn’t require constant reapplication. The scent doesn’t leave a strong sunscreen smell either(even though I don’t even mind it). The cap securely clicks on so it’s easy to throw in my bag with no fear that it will leak. I typically have very oily skin and it has never caused a breakout. The ingredients ceraVe use are so clean I will always rely on them.

Love it!
I love how this white sunscreen blends away quickly, after showing me I've touched every part of my face. Question though: is the hydrating aspect enough so I don't need to also add a Cerave moisturizer? And if I DO need to add a moisturizer, which goes first the sunscreen or the moisturizer?

I like this sunscreen! It feels light on my skin and not greasy at all. Blends in easily and doesn’t leave a white cast. I like that I can use it for face and body. Tried this on a sunny day. I used it on my face and arms — didn’t get a sunburn at all. Just don't forget to reapply. No strong smell, which I love. Definitely a new favorite!

Lovely and effective
I love this SPF, it feels very moisturizing and emollient on the skin. There is a slight cast but after massaging the product in it’s all but gone. However those with deeper skin tones may have a bit of a cast

Good but not perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sunscreen is very hydrating and feels gentle on the skin. I like that it doesn't leave a strong white cast and absorbs fairly well. However, it can feel a bit greasy on my face after a few hours, especially in warm weather. It works better for body use than under makeup. Overall, it's a decent sunscreen, but not my favorite for daily facial use.

Great sunscreen!
I spent a long time standing in the store trying to choose a good sunscreen — the options were overwhelming. After comparing several, I went with CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen SPF 30, and I’m so glad I did! It has a lightweight texture, doesn’t leave my skin greasy, and applies really easily. Most importantly, it doesn’t clog pores and has no unpleasant smell — actually, it smells nice or barely has any scent at all. The tube is also a generous size for a facial sunscreen. After spending a lot of time in the sun recently, I applied it to my face but forgot to put any on my shoulders… The result? My face was perfectly fine, but my shoulders got sunburned. So yes — it really works! I definitely recommend it as a facial sunscreen.

Perfect Color and Coverage
I love this sunscreen! Finally a light tint perfect for my skin tone and wonderfully hydrating. I don't have to use much makeup anymore as this provides perfect coverage. It is greasy when first applied, but it dries to a wonderful almost matte finish. Please don't stop making this light tint!

Breaking out
I don't know how it's possible, but after two years of being free of breakouts, I've been getting acne again. It happened once I started using this sunscreen. I usually use a different brand, and this particular product has made me really shiny (I got a new driver's license made and they needed me to blot my face and do a retake because my skin was reflecting the flash too much in the photo), and pimples have formed on the perimeters of my face-- some on my cheeks, around the eyes, but the worst are the clusters of small pimples on my neck/behind the ears. The only things that has changed in my skincare is this SPF. I am really puzzled and annoyed!
