Great Mid-Range 5G Phone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice upgrade over the Galaxy A32 I had previously, which itself was a great, sturdy phone. The A36 has plenty of storage at 128GB, and the 6GB RAM is plenty to satisfy my needs. Additionally, the screen size is great and the graphics are sharp. The phone was easy to set up and is intuitive to configure settings and to personalize. I was surprised that the back cameras are on a raised platform with a larger footprint than on the A32, making the back protective case for that phone a tight fit and somewhat incompatible with this A36 - surprising, because it's essentially a direct upgrade replacement for it. The case is also incompatible with the down volume button. I need to cut out a small section in both areas of the case to make it compatible instead of being forced to buy a new one, something that was disappointing. I haven't taken much advantage yet of the Galaxy AI features, though I plan to soon and compare it to other AI resources to determine which work best for my needs. The simple-to-use talk and text communication features on this phone, combined with the productivity tools like clock and calendar, plus all the intelligence platforms, in addition to the multitude of apps like weather and transportation, make the A36 an invaluable tool to help me manage my life and work and make it all more efficient.

Pretty nice device.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Galaxy AI, overall it is a nice phone. I only wish that in camera mode they would allow the flashlight in .05 video mode. Otherwise it's a great device.

Great Connectivity, disappointing performance.
I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G (6GB / 128GB, Black) for about a month now, This review reflects my daily use, testing and observations. Battery and Charging In my tests, 25W charging takes about 1 hour 20 minutes (maxing out at 38°C), while 15W takes about 2 hours. One important note: the phone supports 45W, but the included cable is 3A, so you won’t hit max speeds out of the box. You’ll need a 5A cable for that, though in my testing, the actual time difference between 25W and 45W was only a few minutes. It is rated for 2000 charge cycles so you'll be able to use it for a couple of years without issues. Connectivity and Design/Durability WiFi 6 performance is excellent; I’m consistently hitting 950Mbps in both directions. The build uses a glass front and back with flat edges. It may be for durability reasons, but the flat frame can be a bit sharp in the hand during long sessions without a case. The vapor chamber is effective at moving heat to the chassis; the phone can maintain high performance for a long time, and stays cool indefinitely with an external fan. Interface and Performance This is where the hardware shows its age. While multi-core performance is stable, the GPU and single-core power reflect 2023-era architecture. I’ve noticed occasional stutters in the UI, and the 6GB of RAM leads to frequent app reloads just from locking and unlocking the phone or switching apps. Samsung promised 6 years of updates, but the hardware is already operating near its limits under normal usage today. Media and Camera I found a limitation in media playback: when increasing 1080p60 VP9 video to 2x playback, I saw 50% frame drops and the resolution automatically reduced to 480p. The cameras are a standard mid-range setup; the 5MP macro has a fixed focal length (no autofocus) making it impossible to get a decent close up. An 8MP ultrawide that lacks detail, looks blurry and limited to 1080p. It really should have been 12MP to allow for 4K recording like the main camera. Also, Camera2 API support is limited, which restricts advanced manual control in third-party apps. Storage is fixed at 128GB with no microSD slot. If you plan on using the 4K video mode often, you’ll find that space fills up very quickly.

Wish I knew...
Purchased Samsung Galaxy A36 5G however disappointed as phone memory filled up in not time & extra memory not available in Canada. Seems everything is dup in memory and had to delete info 2x. Disappointed as I always enjoyed Samsung phones in the past. Lost much saved info due to dup needed deleted. Wish I knew this on purchasing this model & wouldn't had.

A heavy hitter on a budget
I bought my Samsung galaxy a36 5g a year ago and it doesn't disappoint. After a year of everyday use the battery life is still excellent and still going strong, with a very user-friendly interface and tons of features there's alot to discover especially with the camera, taking pictures like a pro with a budget friendly phone is like a breath of fresh air. Connectivity is so easy, I paired my Samsung galaxy a36 5g with the galaxy fit 3 to keep track of my fitness and sleep routine for a healthier me. I personally don't use screen protectors and I must say the durability of my Samsung galaxy a36 5g is top notch with no visible scratches on the screen and no dents anywhere on the phone. The Samsung galaxy a36 5g is a budget friendly device that doesn't feel like "the cheap one" and I definitely recommend others to buy one

The customization on this phone is crazy good
Bought it Desember last year and it work amazingly, Great battery health amazing charging speeds but lacks wireless charging. Can get lagy at some piont but nothing to serious. Camera is great and useability is very easy. Display is great and surely the best price to value you can get. It has a plastic frame but nothing would hold back. So the build quality is over all super good. The best is that it has 6 year of software updates that is security taken to the next level. No official water resistance rating (or only basic protection). But it held on when it got wet in the sprinkler and rain That a peace of mind. Split-screen multitasking is great...

Honest great camera, battery and screen quality
I bought this about 6 months ago and honestly it's an amazing phone for the price range. The battery can last up to a full day with constant use as I used it alot for work. Its very fast and no bugging at all. I have dropped it more than 5 times from a average usage hight and no cracks nor damage to the phone. The screen is very bright and is good when outside in bright light. The camera is also very clear and videos are great. Never had a problem connecting to any Bluetooth devices nor wifi wish was also used on a everyday basis. The phone is also not very difficult when it comes to needed to do something as there is so many setting to make it the way you want, and this makes it easy to find everything as you can create custom folders for your apps. Would honestly recommend this phone if you looking for something reliable and fast in this price range.

Great Samsung A36
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Samsung A36. I haven't owned a Samsung phone in several years because I was using a different product. But I am very happy to be in the Samsung family again. The layout is easy to personalize. Lots of options. Galaxy AI is very easy to use. Camera quality is great. Much more storage than previous models. Fast loading videos and music. Very happy with my purchase.
