Love This Buckwheat Hot Cereal
If you like hot cereal but have never tried Buckwheat Hot Cereal, you have got to try this. The flavor is amazing and it's so easy to make. This has turned into one of our very favorite cereals, by far.

WE had this a month ago at our daughter's home. I have been looking for it ever since and it is not available in any stores around here. Finally placed an order. It arrived yesterday and made buckwheat cereal this morning. Wonderful! Mmmm Mmmm good!!!

Buckwheat in the morning!
I am on a gluten-free dairy-free soy-free and then some diet and I love this creamy buckwheat cereal. Because it's gluten-free and I serve it with a little bit of pure maple syrup and a splash of almond milk sometimes I'll add a banana and walnuts sometimes I'll add peaches many ways you can have it and it tastes absolutely delicious. ????

I love all the gluten-free hot cereals. I buy Buckwheat, Amaranth, Teff, and Sorghum. I alternate between these so as not to develop an allergy to the overuse of a single one. I learned this with my homemade granola using gluten-free oatmeal. After so many years, I developed an allergy to oatmeal. Now, I know to be sure to alternate between different kinds. Bob's Red Mill makes this so convenient, since my local grocery stores no longer carry these particular hot cereals.

My husband and I are gluten free so finding breakfast cereals is a challenge. We also eat low sugar so that means conventional cereals are out. We eat this hot buckwheat cereal every morning! So glad we found something that works for us.

Fluffy Kasha
This has become our most soul satisfying breakfast -- well there it the soul satisfying muesli that I make with soul satisfying homemade yogurt. There IS some competition! We make it using Nikki and David Goldbeck's Fluffy Kasha recipe from our very tattered American Wholefoods Cuisine published in the early 1980s. We always add onions, the more the merrier and sometimes we use chicken broth and tiny bits of left-over chicken. Oh it taste so good! We generally prefer the cracked buckwheat to the groats. I don't think we have ever eaten it as suggested on the package.

I never knew that buckwheat was wonderful replacement for wheat until I looked up recipes. It is an awesome psuedo-grain that I used as a cereal or in My buckwheat lentiil cutlets. Has all the amino acids and rich in copper!! I love it.
