Q: Can the charging base be on the ground or a counter, or does it have to be mounted on a wall?

A: I have mine sitting on the floor. Just looked and don't see any screw holes for wall mounting. Holds a charge VERY well.

Q: What is the approximate lifetime battery on this? I have not had luck with these batteries holding a full charge for more than 1 mintue after a couple of months of use. Thank you!

A: Hello Courtney, I am sorry to hear the CHV1410L is not working after a couple of months in use. Battery operated units life expectancy is 2-5 years. We do recommend to fully charge the unit before the first use and after every use to plug it into the charger and leave it in until your next use. Another thing we have noticed is when placed on the charger make sure the unit is on OFF or it will not charge. A: I have had mine for a couple years now and it's 'sucking power' runs a good 10 minutes-steady. It might be longer but I've never vacuumed with it CONTINUOUSLY for longer than that.

Does not hold up for even light, occasional use beyond a year
This worked ok for one year & now it seems like there’s an issue with the motor & it seems like stuff gets lodged into the bottom part (which you can’t open), so at this point it smells like it might start a fire, and there’s no way to clean that out, so it’s garbage. I used this for light messes, hair, crumbs, etc, less than once a week, and now it’s complete garbage. Pay attention to the bad reviews & the photos. The price didn’t seem bad until I found out this thing is basically disposable.

Worked well but not for long...
Worked for about 2 years but now it won’t stay on for more than a minute, full charge and clean filter but it’ll stay on for a minute then shut off. When you try to turn it back on it’ll only go for a moment. Too bad because it worked well before that happened.

Do not recommend!!!
This is the worst hand vacuum I have ever had. First it is so loud it shakes my whole arm when on.. I could never hear anything even if it was right in my ear..ie ear bud... second it picks up nearly nothing. Third all of the dust and hair getting sucked up goes into the bottom of the vacuum and is stuck with no way to get it out unless you get tweezers to remove no way to remove the bottom. ..and it then has a burning smell because of the hair/ dust that it's stuck..

Brand new, but vacuum does not turn on or change
Got this as a brand new gift. I was really excited to use it but after unboxing it and trying to use the vacuum, it will not work. Plugged in the wall adapter, and placed the vacuum on the charger but it will not charge. Manual says there's a charge indicator light, but it doesn't turn on. Troubleshooting says feel for warmth on the charger, but I'm not feeling any warmth.

Worked well at first
I loved this vacuum for cleaning up my kids mess with ease. However recently it has started to make a weird noise and smells like it might catch on fire. I clean it frequently and disassembled it but it doesn't look like theres anything in it that could cause this. I think.the motor went bad but I've only had it less than a year.

Suction weak, battery cannot be replaced
I think the suction is not strong I think the rectangular suction piece shape prevents more focused suction effort The battery is embedded in the vacuum cleaner and once the battery weakens, you will have to discard the vacuum cleaner.

Keep looking.
Won't even pick up small stones on my car mats. Very difficult to put the white suction nozzle on. It doesn't reliably click into place. Bought on recommendation from a relative. Wish I hadn't.

Was One of the Best
The model before this one (dark grey) was much better quality. We had it for 5 or 6 years and were much happier with that model. Not sure if quantity over quality is the case now but this one just is not as good.

Very weak vacuum .
Turns off automatically within 1 minute . Suction is very weak . Charger station is not sturdy when the device is placed on top . Does not lock in like a magnet . Does not pick up any hair or even cereal crumbs . Will be retuning immediately.

Target scam
Came broken, and they refunded us less than what we paid, so we had to get a price match. Never refunded the shipping even though we paid for it and had to go in person to get it sorted anyway. Buy this somewhere else - it doesn’t come with the wall mount that it’s supposed to, and it’s the same price other places with the mount included.

Worked for 6 months
We used this almost daily for about 6 months. Suddenly, it stopped working. It still turns out and makes the normal noise, but it does not suction at all anymore. It was a good run, but I'd recommend investing in a different handheld vac if you plan to use it daily.
