Back to the Roots Organic & Peat Free Plantable Seed Starting Pots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m absolutely thrilled with these Back to the Roots Gardening Seeds! From the moment I popped open the packet, I felt confident—and it paid off. These seeds are 100% organic, non-GMO, and clearly marked as USA-grown and germination-tested, which immediately set them apart.

I lost time and money on this. There are no drainage holes ~ I poked a hole with a nail in half of them but it didnt help. They fell apart after one watering ~ dirt everywhere. The worst part is I used expensive starter soil so that's gone plus the seeds ~ not to mention the time. I usually have no complaints with Target products but this was a really bad experience.

These individual seed pots are a great way to start seedlings. Unfortunately, the Back To The Roots pots are more delicate than other name brands once filled with soil, seeds, and particularly: watered. The photos show the Back to the Roots pots on the right, compared to another brand after being watered. The BTTR pots lack more fibrous rigidity; cardboard egg cartons have more structure than these pots! If you plan to move your peat pots around frequently as I do for watering and then to harden off the seedlings, I’d suggest getting another brand. The BTTR pots are already feeling like they are disintegrating which is super disappointing as the seedlings haven’t yet sprouted. I am already planning to repot them in a bigger peat pot - not this brand! - which is just a loss of my money. I’m glad I picked this up on sale. I wouldn’t repurchase.

The design of these pots left the tops of the containers dry while the bottoms remained soggy, resulting in mildew and stunted growth. Found them too large and material is different from other plantable seed starting pots. Not part of promotion review.

There is zero drainage in these so they turn into little mud cups when you water. They also mold like crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it. Zero percent chance I’d buy them again.

Perfecr size to start some flowers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pots seem extremely flimsy and don't seem like they will provide a good quality of life to plants. It is too early to use them and test this theory out as it is still winter season here, but I will be seeing how they work in the spring!

I’m excited that I don’t have to Unpot them before planting and can just plant the whole pot in the ground for compost!

They hold up really well under light watering to start the sprouts before transplanting into a large containers or ground. I see myself buying more of these to make the vision of my vegetable garden come to life.

I receive these 4.5 inch Seed Starter Pots complimentary from Influenster and Back To The Roots, I am super excited for them! Currently it is in the middle of winter, so unfortunately, I will not be able to try these until spring. When it does become spring, I will update my review to reflect my experience with using these. 🪴 I am however really excited to get to try out the starter pots, as last spring all I had all larger pots. These starting our organic and peat free and are made from wood. This is an eight pot value pack. I am really excited to try to these out this coming spring as they are plant supposed to. There’s no need for me to transfer from pot pot or pot to ground. 🪴 My goal is to have my garden flourishing this year , so when it gets warm enough to start using these I will update my review at that point. 🪴

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came just in time as me and my littlest are prepping to plant strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce and some herbs. These pots are the perfect size and when ready you can choose a bigger pot or plant directly in the ground.
