Q: I have tried both candelabra and e12. Neither work. What bulb does this actually need?

Special Light Bulb Needed.Bulb cost more than the lamp.
Hard to find the special sized light bulb you need for this lamp that it did not tell you ahead of time on top of that you’ll pay more for that lightbulb then you will the lamp. Definitely not worth it even at its most cheapest price. Also cheaply made.

I got these two lamps in the green stripes and right away when I got home I could see that the lamp shades were crooked and the lamp itself kept falling over and I used a candelabra bulb but it really was just like a night light. I returned them both

As bright as a candle.
Cute but emits as much light as a salt lamp. Printed on the actual lamp is “type G” bulb which the lamp does not actually take, I tried, after buying “type G” bulbs. It takes E12 which is noted on the web specifications but if you purchase in store you may only discover through trial and error. If you are looking for a desk lamp to provide light you can work under, get a different lamp. If you’re looking for a quirky object with a long cord that emits a glow, this is your “lamp”.

Cute lamp, difficult to find lightbulb
I got this lamp because I was in need of a little desk lamp and it was very affordable and kinda cute. Anyway, I had to go out and buy lightbulbs after the fact and they ended up being the wrong size because I didn't realize that G lightbulbs had such a wide variety. The description of the required lightbulb on the tag was not clear. However, when I found the lamp online it says that it requires a candelabra base. So anyway, if you get this lamp, the Philips G16.5 bulb with a Candelabra base works just fine. I added a picture of the lightbulbs I purchased to go with this lamp.

For all the reviews that say they can’t find a lightbulb, IT USES A 40w CANDELABRA BULB (the pointy ones!) Says that in the specifications. Very easy to find! I like this lamp a lot!

Cant find light bulb
Cute but needs a special light bulb. Label only says G bulb. There are a lot of different G type bulbs. Can’t find the correct one so can’t use the lamp.
