Q: Will this monitor play something from a memory stick, such as a video, without being attached to a computer or does it have to be attached to the computer for it to play something on the memory stick?

  • A: The VA1655 will need a display source such as a PC or laptop etc... as it cannot display content off of a memory stick.

No Signal after first travel use

Went away on business with this for the first time and come back to it no longer working. Just get 'no signal' each time I try and connect it and it was working fine before.

It only works for six months

It stopped working within 6 months. It started flashing flickering and then the screen goes completely black. If you want ViewSonic to take a look at it, they make you pay for shipping and packaging.

Never again - worked about 12 times and stopped

I used this without fail twelve different times. Now, for no apparent reason, it stopped working. The USB C port turns on initially and then says "no signal" and the HDMI port doesn't work at all.

Good 2nd monitor but need 2 cables

Perfect to carry along this as a 2nd monitor (I bought 15in). Display Quality is good. Only catch/drawback? is need to connect two cables - 1. Power 2. Display. Bit disappointed. Would like to hear if it can work with single cable. So far integrated stand is holding up (not tipping over and not breaking)

The kickstand is poorly designed and the monitor tips over easily with slight movement and touch. USB-C inputs "DO NOT" work.

Great Size and Value for Travel!

I purchased this monitor for when I travel and plan to work remote. It is just compact enough to fit in my work bag yet big enough to offer me the advantage of using two screens to work from with my laptop. This thing looks amazing, is super light and best of all has passthrough charging which eliminates one cable. Monitor comes with everything you need to get started. The quality of the screen is amazing.

Monitor is 5 star stand is 1

I bought this for when I travel, I have taken five trips and the stand has already broken, it now only lays in the flattest position which is not productive at all. In the process of trying to find a stand I can attach or eat the money and buy another brand.

Great for travel

I bought this monitor a while ago for an out of state travel and loved it. In the past, I've used my laptop only, but being able to have two screens is a huge help. The monitor itself is very small and is on pair with my laptop. Easy to pack and doesn't take up much space.

STAND BROKE IMMEDIATELY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a ViewSonic customer, I was thrilled to learn of this product, which I needed for travel purposes. But the flip out stand, which is very important, broke almost immediately, and I treated the product impeccably, always in its protective case, etc. I was simply opening the stand from the back and heard a cracking noise. It looks like a thin piece of plastic cracked and now the stand doesn't work. Otherwise the display works fine and suited my needs perfectly.
