The blooms are incredibly beautiful, producing lush, glossy, green foliage all summer long and turning purplish or gold in the fall. Peonies are as stately and dignified as any shrub. They are somewhat more expensive to propagate but well worth their cost. You should think of them as an investment in your garden.
Peony Mother's Choice is an award winning variety. Their blooms resemble that of a perfectly formed rose. They are large double flowering, fragrant and at times show some magenta variegation on the petals. They rarely need staking as the stems remain relatively short compared to the 7-8" flower size.
