Description

Tulips are the indispensable blooms of the spring garden, as they bring it to life! They are unique in the range of size, shape, and bold color found in almost every color spectrum, that only tulips provide. Tulips are suitable for a wide range of plantings, are excellent in the rock garden, in formal beds, as elegant cut flowers, and for containers. They can be used in nearly any garden design scheme. Flowers are upward facing, with linear to lance-shaped green leaves on the stem. Tulip descriptions can become quite technical, as they are grouped into 15 different divisions, describing the petals, stamens, and leaves in detail. Plant several different varieties of tulips throughout the garden to extend the blooming time. Akita is a lily and single-flowered variety, bi-colored and fragrant.

Can’t wait!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these bulbs in the fall and can not wait to see their beauty come spring! The bulbs arrived in the mail and were in beautiful condition. No rot and very healthy looking. Directions for planting are very straightforward and follow usual bulb planting process.

Easy to plant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were easy to plant. The bulbs came in a nice little "bag" which was easy to open and then easy to plant. So far they seem to be doing well and when it warms up and they sport more I will move them outside where they can bloom more.

Surving so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these during off season for planing. Due to the zone I live in, it will be another few weeks before I can get them in the ground. I've had them stored in my garage refrigerator to keep them at a cool temp til it's time to plan them and they haven't dried out nor gotten mildly. Lookomg forward to seeing what they produce and how pretty they are!

Nice looking bulbs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bulbs came packed well in a box, and a normal bulb bag inside. The bulbs looked very healthy, not off colored or shriveled. I stored them in the refrigerator for a few days before I planted them and they still looked great when I planted them. I used a bulb digger to get them at the right depth and so far, so good. I obviously won't know until Spring if they'll grow but I'm optimistic.

So Beautiful!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a 12 pack of Tulip - Akita bulbs. They came with instructions on how to plant and care for the tulips. It made planting them so easy! These tulips have two colors in the petals, pink and red. When they are in bloom they look magnificent!! The Akita looks great in a garden, a pathway or mixed with other tulips or flowers. They make any area look beautiful! I would definitely recommend this product.
