Toucan® V3 Wireless 1080p Video Doorbell with Chime – No Monthly Fee Required in Black

I been using this camera now for 2 weeks, I absolutely love it. I love that it has an app I can use anywhere to see what’s going on with notifications also it is wireless and easy to install. The product itself is great quality with good clear picture day and night, overall I highly recommend this product.

Reviews I really wanted this to work for us! We have another doorbell of a different brand and the battery life is getting low so we looked at replacements. I liked that this has a separate chime so if the internet ever goes down, we’ll still hear someone is at the door. (Been an issue in the past.) The chime is small, however it’s not loud enough to hear downstairs. I figured there must be a way to change the volume so began trying to set it up on my wifi. I cannot for the life of me get this doorbell to connect. It needs a 2.4 ghz connection (which we have). I even created its own 2.4 ghz network on my wifi and it will not connect. I tried multiple times, resetting apps, verifying the correct wifi password, rebooting the app and it simply will not connect. I looked on the website and did everything it said, including suggestions from the chat. I feel like it should be an easier set up than this. I’m not sure if it’s my wifi carrier or what but I’ve been able to easily connect other 2.4 GHz devices without issue. Unfortunately I’ve been working on this for days and not sure I have much left in me to keep going with it.

Quality doorbell camera, provides crisp picture and images. Easy to setup and connect to WiFi. Installation to mount was super simple. The setup to phone was easy ans instructions clear. Everything needed for setup was included in the box.

This is a good battery powered doorbell and is a nice alternate to traditional doorbells. I used it wirelessly so I didn’t need to hook it up to my existing doorbell. It was heavier than I expected it to be but it was straightforward to set up and integrate with my other smart home platform. Aside from the doorbell it includes a bell chine for indoor use. The video quality is on the lower side however it’s plenty for what I need. I can also set up the visualization zone for the camera and motion detection level so it doesn’t go off unnecessarily. I like that I don’t need a subscription and can access a 24-hour period of time which is sufficient for my needs. If you need access beyond that then it requires a subscription service. The battery has been performing fine but does require charging from time to time.

I am still deciding to put in the front of back of the house. Being able to mount almost anywhere with battery power is a huge advantage. I like the audio and video quality, even as I have set up indoors to connect to the 2.4 Wifi, It appears water resistant and the volume is loud enough to hear clearly.

It took me less than 15 mins to set it up, very easy to do. The build quality is quite good and the app is very intuitive. You can use motion zones to less the false alerts if you live on a more busy road. I have it mounted on na not so busy road and battery drain is still faster than I like. Definitely won't last the advertised 90 days, maybe half that would be a conservative estimate for my use case. It's fairly easy to recharge but wish I didn't have to do it that often. The picture quality is clear and I love that the short clip online storage is free. There is on on board storage but you can pay for longer video storage but the short clips seems to be sufficient for our use so far. The chime is plenty loud and you can have it configure to show up on your Alexa devices too.

So far so good, really impressed. I decided to stick with the free options for now. I have only been using this for a short time but I can say the photo is pretty clear, the response time between the button push and the responder ringing is only about a second delay. The video loads pretty quickly once you open the app. I havent played with all of the settings yet, because so far I have had no need. I like how it comes with the option to stick it or hook it on. It is larger than my existing doorbell so once I have the perm. spot picked out I will use the more perm hook. Overall happy and thinking of replacing my front doorbell next!!

There's a very low barrier to entry when you buy this at under $100. You don't have to subscribe for a monthly fee, which is nice. However, it's clear their goal is to upsell you their subscription service. We do not like how the receiver indoors is on batteries. It would be preferred to plug that in so we don't have to worry about the batteries dying. I also experienced a notification that there was movement by my door. The freeze frame cover photo showed a person there, but when I pulled up the video in the history to review it the time frame it recorded didn't show the person. It was just my husband walking by when he was testing it out so it wasn't a security issue for us, but it's curious why it didn't show me him walking past in the saved video.

I didn’t know what to expect when I received this wireless video doorbell but know (after installing it and using it) I can honestly say it is a must have at any home. Installation and use are extremely easy and fast. You don’t need any experience and to hire someone else to do the job. Images are very clear and I really like that it offers free 24 hours video history to review any that happen that day. It also has teo way talk (extremely useful), night vision and the list goes in and on. Don’t wait or hesitate, this is a must have!
