The Dark King - by Gina L. Maxwell Paperback

This book is a page turner! I read this book and “The Rebel King” back to back now Im hoping to find the 3rd “The Vicious King” book. Great series if you’re into dark romance fantasy books.

4.5/5 It was really good. First 10 chapters were like 5minues read and others were just like that. Caiden and Bryn, they had this strange string that pulled them towards each other at the very beginning. Soulmates. They worked out their way around each other; had good and bad moments but did not have this problem in the bedroom 6 It was hot there ) Also, there was a mystery hanging over them that Caiden made a priority to solve it. As a total freak of control, he was put to the test not only by this mystery but also by Bryn.

Somehow I got so caught up in the "Fifty Shades" comparison on the cover of the book that I completely skimmed over the "fae" description on the back of the book. The first few pages had me about ready to return it because I dove in not expecting the fantasy aspect... BUT, I stuck it out and actually quite enjoyed it. If you liked the Twilight series when you were younger, this gives me the same feel but infinitely more spicy. Some parts I found to be corny, but still overall a good read.
