Honoring our Fallen

The respect, honor, and dignity given to a fallen soldier from when his body is first picked up until he is buried is mind blowing. The quote from a Korean War Vet: "You are his witness now. Without a witness, they just disappear." "Taking Chance" showed me the difficulty of what our soldiers experience when they lose one of their own. Kevin Bacon's performance as a Marine escort pulls at your heartstrings as you watch the emotions he experiences from start to finish. If you have never seen this movie, I highly recommend it.

Dignity and Honor for Our Fallen

In this day and age, where more attention is focused on whether we should or should not beengaged in war, Taking Chance is a movie that pays serious homage to those who have [passed away] in combat. Kevin Bacon shines as a high ranking officer who volunteers as the official escort for a young man's body home. The movie shows the detail of the respect and dignity that is given to Chance from the time of his death to his return to his family and subsequent funeral. This is a must see for every American citizen.

A powerful film

If you could rate a movie at 10 stars, this would be the one.Kevin Bacon's performance is outstanding as a Marine escort of a fallen soldier who was killed in action in Iraq. This film showed the honor and dignity that our military deserve. It is first movie I had ever watched that moved me so deeply that I had used a half box of tissue; as I had tears from beginning to end! Do yourself a favor, see this movie, regardless of your politics.
