holy cow this thing is loud (optima 50)
This thing will make your ears ring. Replaced a older model (swingline optima 45) that has worked great at a hospital surgery center for many years. This thing is like a gunshot going off. Does a great job and the last version was a workhorse and lasted 9 years. I'm not sure if I want this one to last that long. I wouldn't recommend unless you are already working in a very noisy environment.

I wouldn't never but this product again
This is the second time that I got a stapler in less than a year. The one that I got last December last less than a month. Worst quality ever.

Rarely worked, now the slide won't function
It rarely worked in AUTO mode. So I started using it sparingly in manual (it's a bit bulky & I've tiny hands) Well, now I can't even get the slide to come out & it's just a paperweight now.

I would not Swingline electric stapler again
I own two of these electronic staplers, and neither lasts more than two months. I do not recommend this product.

Battery problem fixed!
Stapler stopped working on batteries, despite new fresh AA batteries. Chat said battery compartment is loose, not fixable. I FIXED IT by bending the PRONGS on the battery COVER to tighten. It works

Net time saved = -30 x number of staples used
When it works it is great, but once a month it jams, and then you spend 10-20 minutes unjamming. And today, 30 minutes, and can't unjam.

Do not buy this brand
This is my 3rd stapler in a year. Very busy office normal light use, 2 minimum pages more often than max of 45. Will not read paper when inserted.

Poor choice
We purchased this stapler for our library twice. The first time it broke after a few years of use. The second time we purchased the 2nd in May 2022 and it broke after 1.5 years of use. Not very good quality. The noise the stapler makes is loud and disruptive. I am going to order regular staplers because dishing out almost a hundred dollars again for this stapler isn't a wise investment. I don't recommend this product.

Terrible Stapler
This stapler has broker down at least 4 times in the last few years since we've purchased it. It has a warranty but I'm guessing they send a refurbished one as it just breaks down again soon after we receive another. Don't waste your time or money!

it'll be working fine and then just randomly stop working. There is no way to open it and check if there is something jammed. Clearly was purposefully designed that when there is an issue, you just have to toss it because you can't troubleshoot it at all.

Terrible feature ruins it
There is an orange slider where you can adjust how far into the page the staple will go. it adjusts back a step every time you use it. This one flaw makes this otherwise great tool maddening to use. I normally dont write reviews for products but this stapler annoyed me into action. End rant
