Great in fighting viruses
I bought this product to help fight viruses. This includes the Covid virus, flu, and shingles. Thankfully at this point I have not needed to use it. I love that I have this product on hand so if any of my family members comes down with a virus I can give this to help them to make recovery quicker.

I gave it 5 stars, but it quickly defaulted to this screen as soon as I selected the first star. I think it is a great product. I have been taking it for quite some time for herpes simplex virus. With regular use, I find that it is a good preventative measure.

Eliminate Cold Sores.
Great product. Easy to swallow. I take one a day to keep the cold sores and canker sores away. If you get a cold sore you can take up to 9 a day to lesson the severity of the core sore out break.

A useful product
I've been using this supplement daily for over 20 years. I had a series of canker sores and began using L-Lysine to strengthen my immune system. It worked, or at least I haven't had one since. Also, It seems the severity of cold or virus symptoms is less than friends and family report. My only quibble is with the large size of the capsules. I recommend it to friends and others.

Missing a security tamper proof
All SWANSON brand, 11 bottles that I just received do not have a security tamper proof. Inside has a lip cover which can be easily tampered with. Please add a security tamper proof to the bottles as before.

Not too great and not so bad
My elderly Momma had shingles 3X in 6 months. She also has frequent cold sores on her nose and lips. I had read that L-lysine might be helpful. She took a whole bottle and had 2 cold sores and another case of shingles while taking them. I don't know if they helped very much?
