I like the smaller size of this wastebasket because it is easier to fit in a more compact space. I find that a 13 gallon trash bag also fits perfectly inside this can so it removes the need to buy a different size bag for this wastebasket than my traditional larger wastebasket. The step on mechanism for opening the lid functions very smoothly, and the way it is configured gives me confidence that the opening mechanism will not fail over time. I did not have an issue installing the lid, but I could see where a person may have trouble. You simply snap the lid into place, and if you look at the lid and the rim of the basket it is very easy to tell where the two pieces snap together. This is a good quality basket and I will be purchasing another one for my utility room as well as one for my pantry to hold my excess plastic shopping bags. I got this product 2 weeks ago and was very excited. I love the bigger size without it being to big for my office. The lid was a little hard to attach but once I got it on it worked well. I think I would pick a lighter color next time because black shows alot of dust. It opens easily and hides the garbage well when closed. I'm not sure how long it will last though because everything is made from plastic. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

This is just the perfect wastebasket. It is sturdy and has a nice size, is durable and cannot be easily tipped over. It is easy to open with the step on pedal. The inside is easy to clean. I love the compact size and the shape of this wastebasket. Makes it easy to put it against a wall or in a corner. The dark color looks nice in any décor. I really like this wastebasket! I like the step on feature so that you don't have to bend down to try to open up the lid. I use it for my recycling before I take it out to the larger bin that goes to the curb. It's a great size and is super durable.

We got this trash basket to use in our new baby's room. It is great for diapers since it has the lid with the no touch open. The lid fits solid and it opens and closes smoothly. I received this product in exchange for this review.

I was looking for a covered trash can for the bathroom. I wanted a flat backed or rectangular can because I have a deep narrow bathroom. Everything I found was either too tall, too tiny, took up too much space, or was too expensive. After months of searching at several retailers I found this one. I thought "Well this will have to do - it's better but a bit on the large side." What I discovered when I brought it home was it took up the same space as a smaller can that I had with a swing lid because that one slanted out at the top. This one opens nicely, it's not wobbly, there's a big enough space to get your toes in to operate the lever, the lever doesn't stick out creating a trip hazard, etc. I use a 13 gallon drawstring bag in it and it stays in nicely. This would work great in many places and would be a good choice for an RV/camper, sewing/crafting space, or if you're a vendor and need a can in your booth. Not too big and not too small and keeps your hands free. Win win win! Like Goldilocks says "It's just right"!
