This is an initial review, so I have no idea how long it will last, but for $260 it is a great deal. 1. It draws between 30-38w on economy and 45w on max so a the small solar system on my Pop-up camper or my Jackery with two panels have no problem keeping up with the 12v draw. 2. It cools down quickly 15-30 min depending on your settings. Where as the old absorption fridge in the camper needs 24 hours for a solid cooldown. 3. The baskets and ability to split the cooler into different zones are a definite plus. In test, I cooled the right side down to 2 F and the left down to 34 F. Using the Max setting it took about 1/2 hr to get them with the outside temp in the mid 80s F. Use a refrigerator thermometer to check the temp. My digital setting on the cooler was about 4 degrees off. Lastly, I would have given a 5 star rating had the cooler come with a light colored top. In the New Mexico sun the top gets hot enough to burn your hand or backside if you sit on it, as many folks will be inclined to do. I just finished painting the top white with a good prime coat followed by a couple of finish coats of spray paint. I hope it holds up. I see several of their other models come with white tops, but I needed a specific size with enough volume to fit my needs, yet small enough to fit through the pop-up door. I see many manufacturers make coolers with black tops; what are they thinking \'indoor coolers\'? It may look cool in black, but its not.

Year 1 was good, used 4 times Overlanding in a set-up jeep. Year 2 was not as good, Plug was built weak and broke. Also keep shutting off. Used 3 times. Year 3 Still dealing with bad plug on side and ended up buying different Maker cuz darn things lid was not keeping Cool temp, bad seal. Tried using 1 time before shorting out controls. Getting ready to though out, into the trash!

Update review after 1.5 years
I purchased this fridge freezer to be my main food storage in a vanlife vehicle The good for the last year or so i have had it set to single zone refrigeration only and it has done decently well it does struggle to bring larger amounts of food down to temp quickly especially on very hot days but once at temp it holds it fine is easy to clean and so far very reliable Now to the downsides When set to single zone the left side Is always considerably colder After a year and a half the on-board temp screen is dying (see picture) in that picture the fridge is actually at 30°f some lights are dead like the 2 missing from the battery logo and others are lit that shouldn't be but the app still shows correct so I can live with it Insanely struggles to bring warm things to temp if its even a little hot out i have had drinks still be warm more than 12 hours after putting them in mostly on the right side of the fridge End of the day if a decent budget friendly way to keep food and drinks cold is all you need this will do the job i fully intended this not to be the forever option in my vehicle because but because not all of us can afford an iceco it has certainly filled its need albeit with it a couple things to keep in mind while using i wount purchase it again but wouldn't tell someone in need of one not to buy it either

Great value and has been very reliable. I now can take ice cream on my wheeling trips and not need ice to keep things cold. Now ice is for drinks in a glass not for the cooler. Lol. I suggest getting the optional insulated cover to keep temperatures stable. It can get very hot during summer and this helps so compressor does not have to work as hard to keep temperatures stable.

Just to clear things up this is the cost way fridge I bought. It cane with the name stakol on the side and as you can see it is made by apicool. So far its good bit not great. Holds a lot. Still playing with it

Inconvenient Power Cord
Why is the power cord in the front along with the handle? Poor planning. When sliding out from under a table, with the wheel in the back, the cord is in the way and usually ends up under the cooler. Basically have to unplug to move.

Great freezer
We are traveling a lot and this cooler is great. It is like having mini fridge! We tried putting water bottles in it. On the freezer side it didn't freeze the bottle completely but there was ice in it. It did keep frozen things frozen

This is a very slick refrig/freezer. We use frequently. Sometimes as a freezer, sometimes as a refrigerator and sometimes as a refrigerator/freezer. It preforms perfectly in every mode.

AFFORDABLE, RELIABLE, WORKS
I am a owner op, otr driver, fed up with thermo electric coolers, a normal fridge in a truck dont work open the door and food is hitting your feet, this setpower is worth the money, resonably priced, does a great job, i have mine set at 35 degrees, food is cold, not frozem, my condiments keep cold not frozen, and beverages ice cold, when you use it, and set it at 35degrees , it takes all of about maybe 40minutes to achieve temp , impressive, and when plugged into your cigerette lighter in a vehicle, the plug end dont get hot, and does not melt down like a thermo electric does, well worth the small investment, when you live a otr lifestyle, nothing sucks worse then loosing your food cause a thermo electric cooler gos bad, so Too, All my Brothers and Sisters of the highway you will not Go wrong buying this setpower yes the 53qt model, works great, i remove the goofy cage, to maximize rooom for food, the smaller compartment works good for your condiments, like mayo, mustard, bbq sauce. hands down. the best bang for the buck, and it a r134a refrigerent, in it, if your old school, you have the knowledge to do a pretrip, and understand the means to maintain your rig, and carry a arsenal of tools, for road breakdowns, so yes this refrigerator chest style works awesome, in a rig, r134a thats whats in your rigs ac system, HANDS DOWN DONT QUESTION BUYING THIS SETPOWER, FOR YOUR FOOD NEEDS ON THE ROAD, BUY IT YOU WILL BE HAPPY,

Works as designed
Refrigerator/ freezer works great. Have used it with battery power and electric. Keeps temp well, Irma at the top of the freezer section don't freeze solid. Unit is heavy when filled but the included baskets are easy to remove when relocating the unit.

Great fridge, get the insulated bag for it.
Excelent 12 volt fridge/freezer. I set one side to 0 degrees f, and the other to 34 degrees f. Does a good job staying close to those setting, but does fluctuate when the cover is opened. Buy the alpicool t50 unrelated bag to help keep the cold in. The t50 is the exact same fridge, just a different rebranding.

It not only gurgles, the motor sound is also more pronounced than similar Alpicool/Bintu model with LG compressor. By now I've given up searching for no-gurgling dual zone fridge and I think I'll keep Alpicool LGT50 and return this one.
