Q: There is a white plastic drip tray that came with it. No instructions at all how to install it. I called company she said it slips in on back of refrigerator. I see nowhere at bottom opening where it just slips in! Onto what I.don’t know!

submitted byErin - 2 years agoA: Basically, you *slide* the white plastic tray onto the top of the compressor. Notice that there is a projecting white piece on the bottom of the tray and a similar projecting black piece on the top of the compressor. They should click into place, as you slide the white tray onto the top of the compressor. If problems, call the Whirlpool number: 1-855-666-4477.

Doesn't stay cold
Started off okay but quickly decreased in performance. I noticed the fridge and freezer started feeling warmer, freezer no longer froze anything. I put a thermometer in and turned the dial down to lower the temp. Eventually had to also put ice packs in the fridge that I alternate to keep it cool. I’ve finally gotten the fridge temp down to around 44°F, but that’s the oldest I’ve been able to get it.

Not an actual Whirlpool product. Actually a product of Galanz-Zhongshan Galanz Consumer Electric Appliances
I purchased this item October 2023. Last night the top shelf randomly exploded. There was not much on it so it was not due to weight. I contacted Whirlpool to try to get a replacement shelf. They stated that this is not actually a Whirlpool product. The product is from Zhongshan Galanz Consumer Electric Appliances Co. Per the Whirlpool agent "they just paid Whirlpool a whole lot of money to use their name". If you look at the user guide in a small section it states "Manufactured under license by Galanz-Zhongshan Galanz Consumer Electric Appliances Co, Ltd.". However, in BIG print everything says Whirlpool. On the front of the fridge it says Whirlpool, on the box it says Whirlpool. There is no reason to believe it is not actually a Whirlpool product. So if anything goes wrong Whirlpool will not assist. They say that you must contact that other company. Very misleading. I assumed I was buying an actual Whirlpool product. Be aware.

The fridge seems well and would be better if it came with the piece to cover the wires in the back. I got a replacement fridge that still came without the back for the covering of the wires and the second one was so dented it didn’t make sense. It was also delivered upside down when the box clearly says don’t do that. I keep calling to get it straightened out and I guess they can feel how irritated I am through the phone because they keep hanging up and telling me to wait on the line. Then it goes dead. **The photo I’m showing is of the first fridge I received and the slight dent.** I didn’t take any of the second fridge that was sent. I put it right back in the box to be picked up.

Died after a year.
Died after a year, mainly the freezer, kept freezing and thawing. Fridge changes temp regardless of what you set it to. The manual didn't offer an trouble shooting steps and Target doesn't offer and customer service assistance. Won't buy whirlpool again.

Solid unit.
Bought a few days ago to replace an 18 year old similar model by a diff company. Surprised to see the refrigeration systems are identical. Mine mist have had a small leak or just wore out. Overall you’re getting a basic solid refrigeration system that freezes too. It’s a compressor it’s copper tubing and gas. The inside is nice. Very roomy. The tray area could have been designed better. It is crap. My old one fit 10 soda cans this one fits one line of 6 or 5. Anyway I’m happy with it. We’ll see what happens. Also target price matched and I paid 129 for this model. Can’t beat that.

WASTE OF MONEY
This is a complete waste of money. This is too small for anything actual useful, it’s only decent for drinks. The temperature is never right, it freezes everything solid towards the back, at the front any food goes bad bc it’s not cold enough. I know that’s the general idea for most fridges but it’s crazy how you can’t get a decent temperature without freezing everything. And nothing fits! Scratches so easily. All around worst useless fridge
