Disappointed

I bought the Sony Bravia 8 11 tv and within 1 week the sound stopped working. I tried all the steps advised to resolve the issue and even completed a factory reset to no avail. I sadly had to return the item as it was faulty, we have been brand loyal to Sony and have found the tvs to be brilliant in the past, my first tv lasted 16yrs. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

Fantastic picture

I bought the tv a month ago and am very impressed with the tv, picture is superb and the sound is excellent. I have the bravia 8 mkii, there are so many settings it can be a bit overwhelming if you start trying to adjust things. Automatic software updates are not as automatic as I would like as I have had a couple of minor sound related glitches that upon searching for software updates they were fixed.

Stunning picture quality and excellent sound

I bought this tv 3 weeks ago to upgrade my old Sony Bravia KDL- 46V3000 TV I bought over 15 years ago and still working as new. Setup was simple with on screen instructions. 4X HDMI inputs with additional Optical input that some other brands no longer provide which I used to connect my old Sony RHT -G900 Theatre Stand System still providing an excellent sound - will always buy Sony Products which I have never had issues with

Sony Bravia 8ii

I love my new Bravia 8ii…I’m still trying to find the optimum settings though. It’s a big step up from my 10 yr old 43” Bravia. I’m still currently watching Sky via the HD system although I have Sky Q arriving at the end of January. Hopefully then I’ll unlock the TV’s fuller potential. My wife complains occasionally that she can’t hear certain broadcasts so any advice would be great on the best audio settings.

Bravia

I bought a tv in early August & immediately started having trouble with the apps. Whenever I tried using I player, itvx, channels 4 & 5 they failed to work & it took several attempts over up to 10 mins for them eventually to work. Eventually the tv (K-55XR8M2/Bravia 8ii) was exchanged but the same thing is happening with the new tv. There must be a software fault with this particular model, extremely frustrating.

Great bright colours in UHD

I bought this TV a few weeks ago. Happy with it even though I haven't had time to go through all its features. Great bright colours in UHD but you have to set it to your liking. Once you work out what suits you its great.

Another great TV from Sony

Blown away by the quality of this panel. So bright and with pin sharp images. Overall sound from the built in speakers is very good, tho I’ve paired this up with the Bravia 9!soundbar , sub & rear speakers for a 5.1 sound solution. Usual , excellent build quality I expect from Sony products. Sleek design. Just wish that all the HDMI ports offered the same functionality. Otherwise tho, outstanding! I highly recommend this TV.

Fabulous TV

Fabulous TV and a major upgrade over my previous one. The picture is gorgeous, with rich colours, deep blacks and dazzling highlights. If your priority is stunning, cinematic picture quality, this TV is as good as it gets.

Awesome TV, typically SONY.....I've always associated SONY with the best TVs and the Bravia 8 II does not disappoint.....it looks and feels quality, perhaps the controller isn't as premium feeling as expected, but performs all necessary functions, would recommend!

Had the bravia 8ii for about 3 weeks. First time I have had a TV of this quality and wow. I was unsure that I would notice the difference but I really do. Expensive but no regrets.

Very disapointed by a "Flagship Product"

Expectations were high when we purchased this flagship product. However immediately after unboxing the disapointment started. The TV was delivered missing the protective film which should have protected the front screen. There were many stickers stuck to the front of the screen (including one which gave instructions for how to remove the protective film). These stickers left sticky marks on the screen which had to be carefully removed before the TV could be used. After approximately a week of use I have had to "Restart" the TV many times after apps crash (such as catch-up TV apps), the "Live" TV guide is blank and doesn't update, or the volume buttons on the remote control stop working. All of these start working after a reset of the TV so I have to assume these are bugs in the TV operating system (which is updated to the latest version). Navigating the menus is also unintuitive, with several different ways to get to different pages offering similar features. The menu navigation is also very jerky/stuttering which makes the overall experience feel less than premium. In summary definitely not the initial experience I had expected from a premium TV supplied by Sony.
