Stretching out over the frozen great lakes like a great cloud of smoke across the water comes the triumphant return of Sons of Otis, that is. These hard drinkin', heavy hitting, good old Canadian boys have returned from their self-imposed exile with a masterpiece of sonic retribution, aptly titled "Exiled." These six glorious tracks stretched out over sixty glorious minutes are reminiscent of the heyday of album oriented rock, when it didn't matter how many songs you had provided you could fill up two sides of shiny black vinyl. And full just might be an understatement with the sonic drudgery that makes up "Exiled." Songs tremble along with ferocious might, swinging and swaying wherever they might please, arcing up every so often to proclaim the might of Otis. After 15 years of hard work, dedication and some of the worst luck with labels every Sons of Otis have finally come into their own. Having spent the past decade sharing the stage with bands like Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Clutch, Fu Manchu, New Kingdom, Voivod, Electric Wizard and Shallow North Dakota these simple Canadian's have evolved from humble beginnings as hard and heavy abrasive rock from the great white north into masters of ethereal, blissed out, hard and heavy abrasive rock with subtle touches of psychedelica added to boot.
