Snow Joe 24V Cordless Snow Shovel Kit for Driveway Winter Snow Removal, 24V-SS13

I love the machine it's a tough unit but I am finding it difficult to get parts for it.

I love this shovel. I had a heart attack two years ago, and one of my concerns was moving heavy snow. This shovel is awesome and does a fantastic job. The neighbors asked where I bought it, and they want one too. I need to replace the auger.......is it available as a replacement part? I ended up pushing against stone I didn't see, and it cracked.

This is trash. I went through 2 augers in about 30 minutes of using this. It's cheap plastic. If they made a steel augur it would be 100x better.

After 3 months my shovel dont start anymore just nothing,dead.

It's mostly a toy. It works for light small jobs on steps and walkways. However, more than 3" snow it is more work to use than it saves using a shovel. The unit is fairly heavy so requires good arm strength to move it forward into deeper snow. Have to take small bites to keep it from clogging down. Wish I could return it, but I didn't keep the box. Would not buy for Minnesota winters of any use. I was only planning to use it on a narrow strip along the side of garage next to neighbor's fence which made snow removal difficult, but this tool is not sufficient.

low battery life less than 2 hours , recharging takes 8 hours with , heavy snow you won t be using it that much

I purchased this product in November 2021, just in time for the snow season in Pennsylvania. The battery failed. I reached out about a replacement and the company did not have one - this I understood due to supply chain issues. HOWEVER, batteries now appear to be in stock and the company has failed to reach out and solve the battery failure issue. Now I have a very expensive plastic item of no value ~ unfortunately I should have done business with the large chain.

It works, but only in a light snow. and you will get covered in snow if any wind since it just throws it straight in front of you, not to the side. You have to turn it at an angle, stand to the upwind side of it, and hope the wind does not swirl on you. And you may only able to shovel in one direction and walk if a direct headwind. All this adds to the work. In summary, I can do it just as fast (faster if just 1-3" of snow), about the same amount of work, and stay dry with a good hand shovel.

battery dies in about an hour and took almost 4 to recharge. good not do my whole property with this battery after an overnight snow of 6 inches or more

SnowJoe was delivered on Tuesday, forecast called for snow Wednesday night so I unboxed quickly and charged the battery and used it 1st time on Thursday am for about 2" snow. Worked great! For small amounts of snow we don't have someone plow so I wanted something to make it easier on the back. I was able to do our deck, walk, drive and drive to our barn without having to recharge the battery. Our drive is packed gravel and no issue to use this. Much easier on the back than a shovel and much quicker. Only negative is the same issue others have mentioned, the snow will come back at you with the slightest wind, so dress accordingly because you will be covered with snow. Overall very happy with this product.

In two days it will be 3 months since I have had this shovel and I have not been able to use it even once. I wish I had returned it immediately when it did not work, rather than try to get it fixed. If they had replaced the entire unit including battery and charger, I would not be writing this. Instead, one piece at a time was replaced without success and now I am waiting for a battery which shows no sign of arriving anytime soon. I have never before had to endure a defective product and ridiculously slow support like this.

We purchase the unit to help reduce the amount of shoveling we do like many. We have a gas driven snowblower, but wanted something to clear paths and smaller areas. My first impression is that the unit works very well. It is light enough that my wife found it easy to maneuver. I used it to clear the area at the end of our driveway from the plow wash and it it handled the three inches pretty well. Not sure how it will handle deeper wash. That is another test. The one drawback is the lack of veins to direct the snow to one side or the other. This would change the review from good to excellent. The battery seems one of the better, but again that is another review update when I can push the unit further. Overall, I'm very happy with the unit.

This was a great little shovel for a few storms. On about the 4th storm, the shovel started to smell terrible (burning plastic) and smoking. I was very disappointed, as I used the shovel a few times prior, and just bought an additional battery, and of course it just destroyed itself. I will be getting ego brand next time, they have a much better product.

Works great and performs as advertized. Only issue is inability to purchase extra battery.

I used the cordless shovel three times in snow 4 inches deep or less before it completely shut down. I'm disappointed as I've had good luck with SunJoe products. I guess that Joe prefers summer over winter.

From the snowstorm over night 2/4/2022 I went out and did my driveway, steps, and by my car on 1 charge. The trick is let the machine do the work for you!

I bought the 4 amp base version of the Snow Joe Cordless Snow Shovel. It works very well through a couple of storms. When I use this on 6-inch moderately heavy snow, it does a good job at moving the snow and clear what I need it to clear. To be clear, this is not a heavy-duty snow blower and it's not a super-duty battery system. However, this shovel exceeded my reasonable expectations and, if there's a downside, it is only that the standard battery charger takes too long to charge it up. I would buy this Snow Joe Snow Shovel again as a gift. I recommend this in the 4 Ah version, as this battery meets the needs for the light duty the shovel is designed for. Great purchase.

I purchased this online because I was looking for something light & small to clear the deck off. I was also thinking it would be good for the front steps & walkway. Whoever designed the way the chute blows snow definitely did not put much thought into it. Unless there is absolutely no wind blowing, you will probably get 80% of all the snow you are trying to remove..to blow up in the air & right back on top of you. I looked like a snowman after using it for about 2 min & tried adjusting the angle & direction while using it. The videos make it look like the snow does not get on you, but that is not the case. I was considering just throwing it away. All it needs is some type of a lip at the top of the chute to redirect the snow from going straight up in the air. I used a leftover piece of a 4"x4" pvc hollow fence post. I cut 2 flat sides off and was left with a 4"x 4" angle piece. I attached it to the inside of the chute full width with self tapping screws. Once I used it, all the snow now blew in front of me. I realized I did not need a full 4" extension, so I cut 2 more inches off the angle piece so the snow hits a 4"x2" pvc angle. It works fine now. If I had the materials handy, I might have just used a piece of 4" pvc pipe & cut it in half & attached a piece full width 13" long across the top of the chute so the snow would just roll off it in front of the machine smoother. Either way, if you don't attach something to the top of the chute...plan on looking like a snowman if you run this for more than 2 minutes.

The product is not useful, it throws the snow back into your face, I cleaned the driveway with a shovel faster than the SnowJoe. I would like to return the product.

I like the shovel. It really helps my back out not having to lift up shovels full of snow to throw. But the biggest downfall of this shovel is the angel it throws the snow is way too high. It would be nice to have the option to have a moveable guard that if rotated down it would throw the snow more straight forward than straight up. If there is a little wind the snow goes right into your face and over the area that you already shoveled which is frustrating. So I decide on if I use it or not, based on the wind.
