[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Skip Hop STEM Learning & Play Stacking Boat Baby Bath Toy and it has quickly become a bath time favorite in our house! First off, I love that it’s not just a toy, it actually has a learning element built in. It introduces early STEM concepts like floating, spinning, sorting, and stacking, which makes bath time feel a little more intentional while still being fun. The set comes with multiple pieces, including shapes to sort and stack plus a cute little boat and spinner ball. My little one loves pouring water, watching it sprinkle, and trying to fit the shapes together. It’s been great for working on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination without it feeling like “learning time.” Another big win for me as a mom, the boat opens up, which makes cleaning and drying so much easier (no hidden water sitting inside).

The line is a fixed length so there’s nothing to get tangled and the reel makes a fun clicking noise when spun. The fish change colors like magic when dropped into warm water, teaching cause and effect and how water temperature can affect them. The fish have large number-shaped holes for math skills and to hook onto for hand and eye coordination. The fish also stack into each other and can be used for practicing size order and number order. The best part, no assembly or batteries are required for this classic toy!

The fishing rod is easy for them to hold and maneuver the hook through the numbers. They are also thrilled by the crank noise when you turn the rod’s handle! The fishing rod numbers turning color in the water is also a fun feature that seems like magic to these kids. As a parent, I love that the set doesn’t include a bunch of small features. The set is easy to take out during bath, dry, and store for next time.

When you put the 3 fish in the water they are colors but if the water is hot the fish all turn white to let the adults know the water temperature needs adjusting. The fishing pole and the fish are very easy to clean and fun to play with in and out of the tub. My son plays with this all day long

I love that it focuses on fine motor skills as well as counting and colors. It is lightweight and portable which means this isn’t only a bath toy. You can take it anywhere with you for learning on the go or just some simple entertainment. I love love, love that it sneaks in learning through entertainment! Overall, this is very fun well-designed and captured my children’s attention!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2.5 years old loves this skip hop finishing rod. The fishes are labeled 1-3 and it makes fun and easy to learn counting. It’s made from sturdy, thick plastic, and has a comfortable grip and seems durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute little set. It is nice big piece that are easy for my toddler to stack and play with. While they are nice sized for a toddler some of the bit might be hard to wash for an adult but it is manageable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent bath toy for all ages. My 8 month old and my 3 year old really do enjoy it. They play with it every bath time. We really enjoy the colors and simplicity of the toy. I do think there are some issues with it though and that is why I'm giving it 4 stars. When the boat is fully stacked, the boat tips forward in the water and because of this we couldn't get the ball to balance once on top. It also only allows for the pieces to be out into the boat the same way every time. I think if these issues were resolved I'd give it 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so fun! It’s like a 3D Puzzle you play with in the bath. My 3 year old and 18 month old both love it. I like how it has holes under the shapes to prevent mold. The boat also comes apart so mold can’t grow in it. Size is perfect for their little hands. Just wish there weren’t that many holes in the bottom of the shapes because they like seeing the water come out of them but it comes out so fast.
