Toxic chemicals
The product label says the board contains Xylenes and Ethyl Acetate, both toxic chemicals. Why would Target sell a food serving board that is unsafe for food consumption? Google search: Health effects Xylene can cause skin, eye, nose, and throat irritation. It can also cause difficulty breathing, lung impairment, and delayed response to visual stimuli. High levels of exposure can cause headaches, dizziness, confusion, and changes in balance. In very high levels, it can cause unconsciousness and even death. Exposure You can be exposed to xylenes by breathing in vapors from gasoline, paint, and varnishes. You can also be exposed by eating or drinking food or water contaminated with xylenes.
