The prenatal vitamins have garnered mixed feedback from guests, with many appreciating the clean and traceable ingredients, as well as the convenience of taking just two capsules daily. However, some guests reported unpleasant side effects such as fishy burps and difficulty swallowing due to the size of the pills. Despite these concerns, several guests noted improvements in their overall health during pregnancy, making these vitamins a popular choice for many expecting mothers.

(no review title)
I just didn’t like the fishy burps after taking those and the capsule itself is pretty big.

Hi there! That briny scent comes from our Omega-3 DHA, which is derived from vegan algal oil. While we use a deodorization process, it’s natural for omega-3 oils to retain some of their original scent. You might find that taking them at night or with food helps minimize the taste. Let us know how it goes—we’re here if you need anything! 💛

Nausea
I think that the high iron content was exacerbating my nausea in the first trimester. I immediately felt better when I stopped taking your vitamin. I found an option with a 50% DV iron instead of 67%

Overall positive, but why must they be essenced?!
I’ve been taking these prenatal vitamins for about 6 months and, overall, I think they are a high quality product. However, the reason I’m going to discontinue and switch to a different brand is due to the essence they add to the vitamins. I don’t understand why this is necessary and I find both the mint and citrus to taste terrible. You can remove the essence “tabs” from the bottles which helps a little but I find the smell and taste to still be very strong. And remember…this is for people who might be pregnant! I already don’t feel well and am averse to most strong smells so why would I want a vitamin that has such strong smell and flavor? Maybe other people love it but I am looking forward to when I am done with the amount sent to me through the prescription and I can switch!

Prenatal multivitamin
10/10. The ordering process is easy and I’m glad that I can skip a month if needed. I appreciate the billing notifications and my vitamins always arrive on time in great condition. The lemon flavor makes the pill taste better and doesn’t taste like medicine.

Love them!
I’ve been using these prenatal vitamins since March last year. I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant and still using them throughout my pregnancy. I’m definitely going try the postnatal vitamins too after my delivery.

So far so good
Taste good-like lemon. Doesnt make my stomach hurt. Capsule size is the same as a normal capsule but appreciate that it doesnt float when you try to swallow them. Note the amount of choline-you might want to have more if preg.

Fishy burps
Overall good product, I just have to take it right before sleep because I still get fishy burps pretty badly if I take it during the day.

Stop Taking
I began taking this prenatal at 12 weeks into pregnancy, and at first, it went well. I started throwing up the prenatal after a few weeks of taking it. The prenatal is easy to swallow.

I love them
I was losing hair, my nails were breaking easily. Now my hair is fuller and thicker. My nails are stronger and growing. I feel more energized and the flavor is good.

Vitamins
I like the ritual prenatal vitamins. I like that I could take them with or without food and they don’t upset my stomach, but I don’t love the price of them. They are pricey even on the subscription. I feel like I’m paying a little too much.

A great start
I started taking Ritual last month, via a friend’s referral! She too is on the journey toward growing her family. I really like these prenatal vitamins! They help me feel like I’m preparing my body for what will be my greatest dream come true. I really love the fact that you can choose between two scents: citrus or mint (I chose the former) as well as the holiday promo sales and referral reward that popped up. My critiques are that they’re a bit hard to swallow for me due to size, are expensive, and seem to be missing a few important vitamins in them. Over all, I feel like I’m starting my body off strong!

Hopeful
This prenatal was recommended to me as my husband and I start planning for a family. I’m hopeful it will help support conception, especially considering the price. Looking forward to seeing results.

Ok prenatals
I have tried other prenatals that I like more but these are fine. I don’t like how much they smell like lemon, it’s close to the smell of floor cleaner and when I first started them they made me nauseous. Now I’m fine but those two things would have turned me off if I don’t have to take prenatals. They’re also pretty expensive

Thanks for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We’re glad to hear that the nausea has improved over time, though we understand how the citrus scent and initial adjustment period could be off-putting. The lemon essence is added to help make the capsules easier to take, but we know scent preferences can be very personal. We also hear you on pricing — we aim to reflect the quality, testing, and sourcing behind our prenatals, but we understand it may not be the right fit for everyone. If you’d like to explore options or have questions about your experience, please feel free to reach out to us at my@ritual.com and our team would be happy to help.

Fishy Burps
Worst fish burps I've ever had :'(
1 reply from Ritual Team team - 2 months ago
We’re really sorry to hear this! That’s definitely not the experience we want for you. While our Omega-3s are designed with a delayed-release capsule to help reduce fishy burps, we know sensitivities can vary from person to person. Taking them with a meal, earlier in the day can sometimes help. If this continues, our team would be happy to look into options and help you find a better fit. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at my@ritual.com.

Fantastic overall
This is my second pregnancy and I’ve used these prenatal vitamins for both. I do have to say that I don’t remember such a fishy aftertaste from my first experience with these (2022) perhaps the recipe has changed. Regardless I have no other complaints.
